Day Ten dawned with the trademark Khatron Ke Khiladi touch. After all, there's only so many stunts they can have without the delightful company of creepy-crawlies. The second stunt, in its turn, tested endurance like no stunt has this season. Here's my round up, in random order. đ
Stunt Eighteen
Okay, so there's locks and keys again, plus the crawlies, and to give it the much-needed tweak is a rotating glass box that turns your world topsy turvy quite literally, while you're at it trying to get all three locks open. It was good to see the partners getting a chance here. And most of them did pretty darned well, which is even better.
Rahul Bose...Super Annie does it again. And how. Got all three, and well within the time limit. Awesome performance!
Shabbir Ahluwalia...Couldn't beat the two-minute mark, but did really well nevertheless.
Dino Morea...Madhurima was fabulous here. Safety Band, ahoy!
Abhishek Kapoor...Sushil totally killed it! Really, really well done!
Ritwik Bhattacharya...Avni did fairly well. Enough to earn Ritwik a Safety Band!
Milind Soman...Well tried. No Safety and, though.
Manjot Singh...Andressa was today's surprise package. She did the best of the lot, in this stunt! Really cool!
Terrence Lewis, Karan Singh Grover...Disappointing, unfortunately. Terrence tried hard, as did Aarti, but both managed to get only one of the three padlocks open, in three minutes.
Stunt Nineteen
This was quite a stunt. Looked fairly straight at first...take the sticks off, pass them through the hole in the middle, and drop them in the box. But the ice was a very real complication. More than anyone could have imagined, actually. Even as a viewer, it's only after you watch a team do it that you realise how difficult it really is.
Karan Singh Grover...Very disappointing. They need not have gone today, if only Aarti had had a little presence of mind to start with the bottom rows, moving upwards as the ice filled the box. For a moment I thought she would, but then she went vertically instead of horizontally, as a result of which most sticks got buried in the ice before she could get them out. At some level, I also think they ought to have discussed the strategy as a team, which it didn't look like they had at all, unless Aarti panicked at the last minute when it came to actually doing the task. Karan was disappointed too. Hugely. But I really appreciated the fact that he was quite encouraging when they were told they had to leave. Was a little upset right after they came out, but didn't seem mad at all when it was time for their elimination.
Terrence Lewis...Did really well, both of them. Andhis partner was one of the few who dealt with it pretty well when they came out, too. Nice!
Shabbir Ahluwalia...Well done, again! Although his partner was nearly buried in the ice unil they let them out. Almost collapsed while talking to PC. But well done!
Milind Soman...His partner made the most noise when she came out, but she also performed the best which sort of makes up for it, lol. She was all screams and yells when they got out. They got 57 out of the 60 sticks though, which is absolutely brilliant. Awesome!
Whopper of the Day : Andressa in the first stunt. Not that it was a very difficult task to accomplish in itself, but I wasn't expecting her to do this well. Considering her past performances, it was quite a pleasant surprise.
Shocker of the Day : The second stunt, and what it did to most people after they came out of the ice. đł
Pat on the Back of the Day : Super Annie in the first stunt, Milind and Ritisha in the second. Good stuff. đđź
That's about it for today. Would love to know what you guys thought too.
Cheers!
P.S. I'm leaving town tomorrow morning, and might not be able to do the updates until next week. Hope someone else takes up the initiative instead. Sorry guys! And take care, all. đ
