The creatives had to create a character who could take on Anandi (Avika Gor) and this is what Maasa's character is.

Most people hate her and I don't blame them. At times I have wanted to strangle her myself. But that just goes to the credit of her acting.

It would be satisfying to see someone beat Maasa at her game but I fear that Anandi may not be able to do that. Gehna too, was a person who could take her on but at present she has too many of her own problems. So we will just have to wait and watch.

Very accurate description. Dadisa would never accept a daughter-in-law like suguna in her house but she would also never stoop to the level of tausa. That is also a big difference between them. She is very egoistical, high handed, loves to rule with an iron hand but she would stoop to the level of tausa.

Yet they both specialize in hurting other people. They would make a good pair indeed.

Well. I know one thing that at times, in fact many a times, she treats anandi and her other daughter in laws as if they are not even worth existence and as if she is doing a huge favor by letting them stay in her house.

@ Mohini19

That is what the Matriarch of a family sometimes is and they have portrayed Maasa as one.

Actually the episodes, I enjoyed the most were the ones where the daughters-in-law challenged her. Why that has stopped I don't know.

I would love to Anandi confronting Maasa instead of meekly nodding her head for everything.

@vsumeetha

I totally agree with you and this was my apprehension when the changeover from Avika took place.

I don't blame the new Anandi, it is also the scriptwriter and the director who should bring back some of the old Anandi characteristics in Pratyusha. P seems to be a totally different person and this meek and mild girl is not helping the serial.

Anandi has always had an attitude and a honestness about her that could drive Maasa mad. Anandi has had a disarming way about her (like her keeping Maasa's money intact) which made Maasa love her albeit infrequently.

Somehow this must be brought back so that Anandi can bring about a change in Maasa. She is no longer a small child and Maasa must be made to realise that.

What are the writers doing????
