i have read several articles about NRI's illtreating thier indian wives, just like shakti behaves with kesar in the show pratigya.
the indians who have been living in europe n america for yrs n yrs, come to indian just to marry to an indian girl n than take dem 2america,canada,londonn than they start misbehaving with their wives.bcoz indian girls r not able to adjust to the western culture .those who r living in america or canada,do u know about any such incidents in ur city.?
This a universal problem. But unfortunately in our community the wifes are expected to put up with it. The mentality in many Asian and African communities is that it is alright for a man to beat his wife. I live in American and when of my cousins decided to leave her abusive husband many of my family members were very upset with her.

This is a male-dominated world where physical strength rules😡 ... women have acheieved much more than men, but unfortunately men think by beating and abusing badly, they can keep a woman under control..it is really sad, but this happens everywherewhether educated or uneducated, rich or poor.🤢
@ KFF
Well said, It dose and It is systematic, Various reasons, some of them you have already listed above, Until discrimination against women stops THE discrimination merely on the basis that that they are women, that they are physically weak though I think otherwise, That they are inferior to men and deserve such a treatment and not necessarily limited to husbands only but fathers, brothers etc, do indulge in such atrocities, I differ in this aspects the last line u wrote." everywherewhether educated or uneducated, rich or poor" while I agree it happens the way you have said it, but the ratio of such treatment is much much higher in uneducated segment of society to the point that it is common place in poor and uneducated segment of the society. Whereas in the case of rich and educated families or husbands it is very low, there women are abused for various other reasons as well then for the mere fact that they are women. 😕
