I truly do hate Mihir now, not only because of what he did to Akaashi, but also because of what he is doing to Purva. She was the one that supported him in everything that he did, and just because she disagreed with him once, just once, he decides to be so rude to her, and ignore her. Purva did so much for that family, yes I do agree that the way she married Mihir was wrong, but still, she's still taking care of Prem as if he was her own and it's not right on Mihir's part to forget all the good things she has done and be so rude. I felt truly really bad seeing Purva all sad, because of Mihir's rejection. And the fake happiness she showed when Anokhi asked if everything was ok in today's episode, that was not right either. The way he treated her today was, simply put, like crap. Not at all the way she deserves to be treated. For heaven's sake, they are married, they're supposed to have disagreements and they're ALSO supposed to be able to calm down and understand each other. Not act like an immature 5 year old who doesn't even know how to deal with a situation properly and can't confront anyone calmly, without showing any anger.
A small part of me does recognize that he's trying to look out for Akaashi, but the way in which he is trying to do so, forcing all his opinions upon her, even in issues regarding her life, doesn't seem correct to me. The woman is an adult, she can make her own mistakes, and her own right choices. Why he agrees to Akaashi befriending Shamal and not Kshitij is beyond me at the moment also, Kshitij, the well-educated, more informed one, turned her away when she needed him the most. What's the guarantee that he won't do that once again if ever such a situation rises?
Overall though, in my opinion Mihir is someone who wants everything done his way. Whether it comes to making decisions for Akaashi, being angry with Purva, I feel like he doesn't recognize and admit his mistakes or refuse to see the other side in any given situation. As a lawyer, he should be able to detect both sides of an argument and actually comprehend what is going on. But he didn't do that at all in any of the episodes this week, and seeing the precap was the final straw.
--> I do recognize that it is a tv show, and I actually applaud the CVs for showing Mihir like this, because it does add to the drama quotient and honestly it's making the story very interesting for me, seeing how Mihir-Purva and Akaashi-Shamal react to the situations between the four of them.
Maybe it's just me though, but I feel like this breach between Mihir and Purva is just going to grow in the future episodes. I'm actually quite interested in seeing how this track will go.
So Any thoughts everyone? How did you react? What do you think about how Mihir is treating everyone, how he treated Purva and Akaashi? Do you think he's justified, is he right? Or not?
