Yet another reason why Shyamad is better than Kshitij. He is willing to divorce Akashi because he thinks it will make her life better, whereas Kshitij is acting like a stubborn chipku who can't get the hint no matter how many times Akashi tells him she is not interested 😡 practically forcing himself on her at the party...and then Mihir and co. wonder why she doesn't want to be with him? They are senseless and blind

I think that Mihir forgave Kshitij bcuz he saw genuine concern and love from his side towards Akashi.. But he has never seen Shamal's love towards Akashi.. He also thinks that Kshitij is more settled in life than Shamad..

As of now only Akashi and Shamals family has seen the change in Shamal, and once Mihir comes across this change I m pretty sure he will accept Shamal..
