India needs to proceed cautiously , its not only Pakistan but China too that has been creating border tensions recently. China can be a bigger threat.

i don't think it will lead to war. it will lead to further tensions and unfriendly conflict between the two nation-states, but i think war is too costly for the both of them.

i don't think china will declare war against india. even though china is a much bigger threat than pakistan at this stage in particular, both countries have too much to lose if they engage in wars. especially since these two are nuclear power. on paper they will want to have a cordial if not good relationship even though on real life level there are a lot of tensions.

Looking at the trend of how Pakistan is gradually losing control of more and more areas to rebels, there is a real chance of this nation state breaking down and it's nuclear weapons being fired to anybody they consider as enemy, not just India.
