none of them according to me lol...again just my POV...but i like madhuri better & a better actress IMO too. :)

Statistically speaking, this has no significance at all. You need to randomize, take different people from different areas, do more randomizations, etc etc. A sample of 5 people is not enough but I understand that you didn't aim for this to be a national survey or anything. On the contrary, a Mexican friend of mine saw Bride and Prejudice and called and told me Aishwarya Rai was the most beautiful woman in the world.

I think both of them are gorgeous! But I hate when people compare them. And I really don't like it when people say Aishwarya isn't beautiful. I mean, it's okay to not like her personality, judge her acting etc. But how is she not good looking? I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but even if you take away the light skin and blue-green eyes and give her an "Indian" tone and black-brown eyes, it's her facial symmetry and her features that make her look beautiful.

To me Aishwarya looked breathtakingly beautiful in Devdas... even Madhuri looked beautiful. But Ash played Paro's character magnificently.

In Devdas IMO Aishwarya looked beautiful as the young head strong Paro and Madhuri looked stunning as the older courtesan. Their brand of beauty fit the charactersthey played very well.

There are so many talented and beautiful actresses in India. It's unfortunate that only Freida and Ash got the opportunity to go international. Given a chance, I guess the likes of Madhuri would have made it big in the west. But during their era, Bollywood films weren't that great (with a few exceptions of course) and they (Bollywood movies) certainly did not receive the same acclaim and attention that they receive now from other parts of the world.
Same goes for the actors.

As for who is more beautiful...pfffft. Did we not go through it for the hundredth time? Beauty is very subjective and it does lie in the eyes of the beholder. So this discussion is getting tedious. And no, [physical] features don't make one look any better than the other, as had been proven numerous figures in the past, most namely Angelina Jolie. She doesn't have the most perfect features and yet her face has that mystique rawness which makes her the most beautiful woman in the world...ever. Even at the age of 35, she hasn't lost any of her charm/beauty, and I daresay she'd never loose it cause her beauty doesn't just lie on her facial features/structure but rather by the way she carries herself.
