AMIT SHOULD BE THE INDIAN IDOL :--------

A FEW REASONS-

1)HE IS CONSISTENT.

abhijeet was not at all good in a few gala rounds.he should have been out the day VISHAL was voted out.he did not sing "MOHABBAT HAI MIRCHI" well at all.also in the gala that RAHUL SAXENA was voted out he did not do justice to the song"TU AASHIQUI HAI".on the other hand amit has always been consistent.from "ALBELA SAJAN" to "KISNA HAI" he's proved it.

2)MUSICAL GENIUS

abhijeet started taking singing seriously only after tenth standard(he himself tells).but amit has been learning since childhood.he is a classical genius(even sonu and anu agreed in
" SHAURAT KA SAFAR ").abhijeet sang "MOHABBAT LUTAOONGA" as any one would have sung it.it was good, yes.but what amit did to the song was PHENOMENAL.only a person who has great knowledge of music can do it.

both abhijeet and amit are good ,but then all 11 were good.

I don't agree with you on both counts, Devendra-

1. Though Amit was very consistent in his singing (Which even Rahul vaidya was- though i hate him), Abhijeet showed great improvement. His initial gala rounds were not too great and he did come in the bottom three quite often, but in the last few gala rounds - he showed tremendous improvement- and the ability to learn and improve should be rated higher than being consistent (in my opinion- many of you might differ).

2. Just because a person is not learning music from his childhood does not make him bad- we all have seen that he sings really well inspite of the fact that he had formal training only for last few years.

Amit did sing the Mohabatein lutaunga song very classically and there were lot of harkat in the singing. There is not doubt that he showed much greater range in the singing. But there were no feelings in the song- it never touched the heart. Music is all about touching souls and heart which Abhijeet's version did. He did sing the song within his limitations but it seemed like the words were coming from his heart and that is the reason why it touched the hearts of million of viewers.

First of all, I wud like to clarify that I dont like Rahul Vaidya.....

Secondly, I agree that "and the ability to learn and improve should be rated higher than being consistent", bcoz it shows tremendous potential. If u remember, Sana was a shy, gawky, inconfident person, who stood motionless and closed-eyed during his performances. He then transformed to a confident and charming performer. I know this, bcoz I saw his concert and he has achieved that electrifying stage presence. He's worked hard to get here. As Anu Malik put it, he covers the range between the tanpura and the dance floor. Plus, Amit had no previous exposure to singing in public, an advantage which Abhijeet held.

Thirdly, Amit's song was of a different style than Abhijeet's, but I strongly feel that his expressions in the song, as well as the purposeful softness of the music, gave Amit's version a definite heart-touching advantage. It seemed very personal and romantic.

I doubt that the voting system was for those two songs. If there are millions of appreciators for Abhijeet's version, then there are also millions who have loved Amit's one. After all, Amit lost by a small margin......

And, frankly, I lost faith in the voting system the day Rahul Saxena was voted out, which was soon reconfirmed with the voting out of Aditi Paul....

None of the above opinions suggest that I m sad that Abhijeet is the indian idol. After all, he worked hard too!!

I agree with you on some counts thhikana.

Even i lost the desire to even see the show once Saxena was voted out- he was the best singer among the whole lot and for me he was the indian idol.

But as you have said about amit, even abhijeet was a little gawky in the beginning- but as the rounds progress he improved vastly not just in terms of singing but also in performance.

Abhijeet might have had the advantage of having performed in public before, but he had the drawback of not having learned music since childhood. I think these things even out- It is not that i don't like amit- infact i loved his version of the songs- more saiyan (pakistani band fuzon) and kisna but overall lot of his songs did not touch my heart- i was very impressed by his gayaki but still there was something amiss (i hope he will get that because he is immensely talented singer).
Moreover, the contest was about indian idol and not the best classical singer. (Even if it was best classical singer or voice, i think amit would have lost- this time certainly to my fav Rahul Saxena). The Indian idol had to be a mix of lot of things- and according to me Abhijeet had the right combination.
