Why was Varun alone?

I seem to have missed something. Why did Suguna leave Varun alone? Or did she leave him in the care of tausa?
Given that he is a 5 yr old, as the mother, she should have atleast known where he is and who is with him.

varun was playing there ,he said i 'll come after sometime,sugna went to the bedroom with shagun coz she felt sleepy.also sugna felt sleepy after that and just forget about varun.....
