absolutely Nazia.....right now since he is just soo much puzzled (as he was very confident of her saying yes) I think.....he needs someone like Baaji to be reminded tht just a day before he himself vowed that he'll think from his heart when it comes to nakku......

n thn that is why they did show us baaji undersanding nakku soo well in the last few episodes...

@ Nazia - I think this time it was his heart speaking n there is no question of ego...as u rightly said....has hurt n probably angry at naku's reaction to his proposal( so all those angry expressions).. he was thinking frm the heart n trying to analyze what went wrong...n even had qstns abt if he was not worthy of her forgivness fr watall he did intially(the torture)...

n there was never ego btwn dutta n naku(frm the time tey befriended each other i guess)...Dutta has nvr been so open abt himself wth anyone other than naku....if had any ego, he wud not hv been able to express himslf so opening to naku..or abt his feelings in front of everyone fr nakku...definitely no ego..but it was all heart!!!!

Its defo not ego...if it was ego then he would have said "How dare she reject me?". Instead naku trampled upon his heart and he was heartbroken by her inexplicable behavior. I mean even 5 minutes before he proposed she was smiling at his alpha male display by beating Baji. Suddenly she turns around and runs off...anyione would be hurt.

Absolutely right, dear Nazia! There was no question of any ego here at all. There was no "na sun ne ki aadat nahi" at play here. After hearing her repeatedly declare her love & devotion in a grand way he somehow mustered courage to do everything in a proper way. After making sure nothing was forced upon her this time he proceeded to propose to her in front of the very people in the presence of whom he had humiliated her.All this is not easy for even an ordinary person we are talking of Dutta Patil here.This is a totally unchartered territory for Dutta.So that was pure unadulterated shock & bewilderment he was feeling when he saw this new Nakku. That's why he said he is starting to suspect himself which means he is questioning himself if he is capable at all of reading people even those who are close to him.Note this time he is not raging at someone else he is first looking at himself.This is also another first.Ego will never let anyone blame themselves or even let them consider the possibility they might be at fault.He is terribly at loss to know what went wrong.That's was the only expression I was able to decipher.
