Why the towel scene was 'hatke' yet beautiful

I've read a few criticisms of yesterdays scene and I wondered if I had missed anything because I had such a smooth ride watching the scene and honestly couldn't find any flaws.

I think its one of the very few scenes on Indian television where the female protagonist has taken the bold move to initiate the consummation. The beauty of the scene was that even though Pratigya's intentions were clear, there was a lot of innocence behind her actions too. She wasn't shy of expressing her love physically but she didn't even imagine things could backfire like they did. It's not easy for a woman to put herself out there completely and then not only be rejected but also taunted for the wrong reasons. Its a huge blow for any woman's self-respect!

Some issues were made on Arhaan's body but for me it made the scene even more real and intimate. It wasn't a moment to show off a sculpted body, it was a passionate and tender moment between a man and woman.

Krishna taking his shirt off in the room looked a bit staged to some. That's fair enough because he does usually change in the invisible bathroom but I think as soon as he entered the room all drenched and mesmerized by Pratigya's beauty(again), the tension was created. He HAD to take the shirt off in the room because of that obvious tension between the couple. Everything happened so slowly. He walked in, she went to close the door. It was obviously building up to something...! The way she got hold of his shirt and pulled it down showed that she had shed any inhibitions and was completely ready to surrender to the man she loves.

Signs of discomfort from the actors? Didn't see any whatsoever. The part where you can see her head is not on his chest is actually the shot where Krishna is about to pull her away otherwise there was no sense of awkwardness from the actors at all. They did such a delicate job with showing the first signs of intimacy between two powerful characters. I think my most favourite moment has to be the way Pratigya put her hand on his chest and reluctantly moved towards his body. She was slightly cautious but being close to him was something she desired. It was so tender and you could clearly see the heated attraction they had.

After being a serial buff for over a decade, I can say with my hand on my heart that yesterdays scene was one of the most beautiful intimate scenes I've witnessed on Indian TV.

Lovely, reemz! could not agree more. And I don't think there was anything wrong with Krishna taking off his shirt in his own room. We may not have been shown that, but Krishna is not some blushing girl or a overtly genteel sort, that he should always runs to the loo to even change his shirt. I am sure Prats has seen more of him then we have been shown. It is most natural for a man to strip down if he has just been caught in a down pour. Nothing fake about that!
As for the rest I am not a very great serial buff before this, so I take your word for it and I am really glad to have your opinion on the matter because it is also something I suspected! 😳

Totally agree! it was a smoooooth ride for me too. not one awkward moment, not one uh uh. It was beautiful, the hesitancy, the love, the tenderness, his surprise - it was so goosebumpy.

There are love stories and there are love stories. There are love scenes that are bold, well-shot,well-executed whatever and there are love scenes that mark milestones in certain relationships.

This scene, coming on top of this amazing love saga that we have been given - a couple that gets together in this strange way, who cannot be torn apart by the worst of circumstances, who find somehow in hte middle of such hostile conditions a way to be together.

The actors were good too - stayed magnifcently in the role, and if they felt any discomfort, they didn't pass it on. It was beautiful.

Exactly. We don't see him changing his clothes everyday. He walks away when he's angry but he may well strip there everyday (well his shirt off anyway).

Awww thanks! I had to make a post after the alarming criticisms which I happened to miss apparently.😛
