I feel like this show is about making all the gujju food in the world. While I see great culinary experts displayed on the show, I am finding hard to grasp the contest.

Feel bad for Gopi, she is an unpaid, overworked kamwali...

Listen up creators, you better change the scenery of the show or this is just looking bad for women in general. 21st century and such old values. You have got to be kidding me.

How about a private tutor for Gopi?

You are absolutely correct. It is about making food, ghar ke kam and how a uneducated girl is ten times better then educated ones. Its a simple story about all these things, daily household problems. I guess u have not understood the storyline as of yet. You are right about getting Gopi a tutor. But not because she is living in the 21st century, but maybe to prove to the people that think so little of her, that she is no less. But regardless of tutoring her or not. Gopi is far much more responsible, smarter and caring as a stay home wife/bahu then the all the rest of the educated duffers. One is stealing in her own home, aka Kinjal. One thinks that getting the keys means she is now the boss, aka Rashi. One thinks that work is everything otherwise your no use, aka Ahem. Each of these characters have lot of ego in them, which is a quality that Gopi does not hold and doesn't need to hold. So the question isn't about educating a uneducated person. But giving her strength to be confident. Because without that, no edcuation in the world can help you. Why is Koki so strong viewed and no one dares to object because she is right most of the time??? Because she has confidence. So Gopi doesn't need a tutor, she needs a mentor which Kahnaji has given as her maaji, Koki.

I was about to make a post on the similar issue. It is correct that this storyline is based on very basic Gujju family and saas bahu gatha but I come here to read the updates as I feel it is quite different than other soaps where the evil goes on winning and when it is caught, the good always is so forgiving that you are left with your mouth wide open. Here in this soap at least Koki is shown as being a very flavorful character and you can relate to her as a common persson with a mix of black and white. Koki character is the one that keeps you on the edge as you don't always see the evil winning because of her using the brains as anyone of us in the 21st century with or without education would use.
