But I have a real problem with Babi's message. Of course, she put it differently and sweetly and in a culturally and religiously correct way, but it essentially is:
Don't worry about the truth OR your responsibility for telling the truth OR for taking any responsibility or right actions, just trust Bappa. He'll make it all better.
I respect Babi for her faithfulness, devotion to Naku and God, but give me a break. Don't throw chappals or verbal torpedos at me for this: but Babi is horrid at guiding her daughter AT TIMES. Parents all make misjudgments at times; they are human just as we are. So there is nothing new there.
Sometimes, Babi's advice is so badly devised. She wants to comfort, support her daughter, I totally understand that. But to sit there and say, just trust God. Keep doing what you are doing, no problem! God will make it all better.
It's hardly mother-of-the-year advice. Am I interpreting the jist of the message wrong? I understand her good intentions behind it, but isn't it irresponsible?
