Depends on what staying at home/moving out is about!
Independence? It can happen at both places (home and away frm home), it's about attitude. However, away from home may give a little space if parents are overprotective. It may be more meaningful to stay at home, and gain the same independence. 'cause it is really about attitude and re-setting boundaries.
Being close to school/need space to study -- if that's not the case, do at both places, home saves rent money/loans.
