Abhay Deol, one of the finest actors of bollywood who plays the lead in Anil Kapoor's upcoming flick 'Aisha' opposite gorgeous Sonam Kapoor, is said to be upset with the promotional strategy of the upcoming film and refused to come to even London on the request of Anil Kapoor.
Sources close to Abhay reveal that the actor did not like the way limelight was being kept always on the actress Sonam Kapoor and not him, despite of the fact that he plays a powerful lead character in the flick.
Abhay Deol, who has been shooting for quite some time in Spain for Zoya Akhtar's latest 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' could have come easily to attend the London's promotional event for the flick but chose to ignore that due to undue importance being given to Sonam Kapoor.
Abhay is not only senior to Sonam Kapoor, but also has better track record at the box office with films like 'Dev D' , 'Oye Lucky, Luck Oye' making it big at the box office. On the other hand Sonam Kapoor's 'Saawariya', 'Delhi 6' were duds at the box office.
The only saving grace was Imran Khan-Sonam starrer 'I Hate Luv Storys', but it was attributed more to Karan Johar, the producer, than anyone else.
'Aisha' is slated for world wide release this Friday but absence of leading man from the scene is certainly not great news for the film.
Though being a professional, Abhay Deol had already recorded his television interviews, chatting and other publicity materials before leaving for Spain.

The buzz is that Abhay was not aware of 'Aisha' release date in advance and so he could not keep dates spare for it.
On the other hand, he had given dates to Zoya Akhtar well in advance and so could not refuse her.
'Aisha' has Sonam Kapoor playing the lead character, which is completely opposite to her image in earlier flicks like 'Saawariya' and 'Delhi 6'.
She plays modern, vibrant youth who walks with the times. In fact, the film is based on Jane Austen's famous work 'Emma,' and hence, gives full opportunity to its lady protagonist to showcase her histrionic ability.
