Why doesn't this guy understand rules of democracy? It is the total number of votes that counts. It does not matter where the votes came from. It is the TOTAL number that counts. These rules were set at the beginning of contest. Don't grumble that eastern states cast so many votes. But think that not many people voted for him from the rest of the country. If the winner had received zero votes from rest of the country then it would have been blatant regionalism. Taken in political context we should not lose faith in Bhartiya democracy simply because UP sends more legislators than many other states combined! Rules have been transparently set from the very beginning and if you are participating, better follow those.

On a related topic, did you notice that all the people who voted via internet did not get their votes counted. Nobody said anything about those votes. So internet voters you don't matter to the SRGMP management. Now this is an issue that should be discussed. Any takers?
