Not really...in Baghban, Amitabh and Hema did not want to be separated and the kids did not want to take care of them. In this case, Sulochana WANTS to go to Vinod's house and Vinod wants her there.

What the heck is wrong with Sulochana? She is going to leave her husband of such a long time for her son? I wouldn't do that...

Like Hema said to her son in the end "Sorry, i was his wife before i was your mother" when Amitabh does not want to have to do anything with his kids.
