Trust is the foundation for love, I completely agree but we must consider what builds this wonderful foundation in any given relationship. What exactly has Krishna done for prats before or after marraige without wanting anything in return that she should trust someone like him. In order to build trust both partners must first understand one another and try to understand things from each others POV's. Unfortunately stalking, abusing your partner physically as well as mentally, and not caring about their feelings does not help to build trust in any relationship. Prats found it hard to like him let alone trust him, which was understandable because of his degrading thoughts of women and his animal like behavior after and before their marraige on top of that the misunderstandings caused by angad. As soon as prats learned the truth about angad, she has made drastic changes in her behavior towards him, but things will not change in one day it takes years to build trust. Her effort is obvious through her recent behavior and concern for his feelings, and it was only her offer of friendship which has shown some change in Krishna.Originally posted by: Binny1247
For any relationship to start and survive as time goes on honesty is paramount. Lying, hiding and twisting the truth only leads to lack of trust. TRUST IS THE FOUNDATION FOR LOVE. Without trust there is no way a relationship can blossom into love. She knows the truth about her kidnapping yet she hasn't trusted him with the truth and is already being dishonest....her excuse being her Papa made her promise. Why not refuse her Papa for once? Does she value her marriage that little that she would do anything for her Papa and not to save her marriage in the long run. If anything since the kidnapping truth came out she must have at least realized that the truth will ultimately come out. Even if she built a marriage on a shallow foundation now of her knowing the truth and Krishna being unaware of it, when he does finds out the truth this marriage will be hanging by an invisible thread or tinsel. She has still not realized that truth while she is trying to uphold all other kinds of truths in everybody else's lives. That is what people do, fix other people's lives when they refuse to or are scared to delve into their own lives and see the reality of it and what needs to be done to make it work.
In order for Prats to tell him the truth trust is an extremely important factor and she did not refuse to make the promise to her father because she saw some logic in his concern. She has seen his anger and knows he is capable of murder, also now she knows he is innocent she has been making an effort to make her marraige work. It's important that they both get to know each other better before this truth comes out, because once they have understood one another it will be easier for them to trust one another. As a daughter she wants to help her family in this crisis, she is not afraid to work on her marraige which she has proven by changing her behavior towards Krishna.
@ Binita,
Thank you for explaining the complex situation that Pratigya is in now and her actions in the context of the story line. 👏
