ok so I got depressed seeing the titles on the first page of this forum so decided to start a slightly more positive topic đ I had kind of given up hope on this show last season and I thought it was totally going down the drain as I felt each season was getting even worse. I'm not just talking about the talent, I'm talking about the way the show was handled. But this season came as a breath of fresh air and I'm really enjoying it đ some new ideas, some borrowed ideas *(ahem ahem saregamapa ahemđ)* and some good riddance! it's not "perfect" but still much more enjoyable than the past. some changes I liked:
1) no out-of-place judges: ok so one thing that used to annoy more than anything on this show was the random judges that really had no musical input to offer (Sonali Bendre đ Farah Khan đ)...whether I agree with the judges' opinion or not, I am at least satisfied to not hear any nonsense like "you need to move around a bit more", "why do you sing with your eyes closed?", "you need to bring in some more x-factor" etc.
2) live musicians: it got boring to hear the contestants singing on the same old tracks (recycled from year to year). live musicians make the song more exciting and give the performer more scope for improvisation
3) calling in MDs as guests: makes the show more musical đ and we got a good blend of old and new MDs and as a result, good music đ
4) random other things: relatively speaking, less drama...I mean nothing that made me go "OMG this is so annoying! *mute*" đ...also them getting the rest of the singers to sing the chorus lines (inspired from ahem ahem đ)
so am I the only positive one here or does anyone else feel good about the season?đ LOL
