i am a graphic designer n concept developer myself, and i'll tell u out of my own experience that when we begin to conceptualize anything, we storyboard first n design the feel of the product. n if "maan" the character is treated like a product, "gurmeet "is THE look...point blank! the same goes for all the others, and definitely drashti.
and if u have noticed, this soap is sort of built on the lines of mills n boons as per the lead characterizations. so the male lead HAS to be drop dead gorgeous [face n physique both], very charismatic, rich, and very serious n scruff initially [with a reason or past]...which will change when he starts melting as he falls in love...falls in love with the female lead who is not-so hot, but has some major charm, is generally bubbly, belongs to middle class and has strong values but limited finances ;)
the vamp is always shown closer to the male lead initially, and is mostly as established as him, but always shaded black!
so u see, geet is running on a similar backdrop with considerable originality in treatment.
the point is, this is WHY geet is portrayed perfectly by drashti, because drashti might not be a katrina kaif [superhot, supersexy, blah blah...] but she has a definite magnetic charm, n the small-town freshness. maan is bound to be attracted.
n Gurmeet, as i have said before, is a friggin' Greek God...the best looking face and body on indian TV till date...n he sure can act! coz imagine, he's a sweet n Raam-like person offscreen, n yet he's playing maan as if there is no gurmeet n only maan... Now THAT is a good actor.
i like AB too, but essaying mayank's role is pretty simple as compared to maan's.

so sweetheart no more bashing posts...come up with something more interesting...humor us 😉
