Rate Gala 8 Performances

Another week, another thread. Pretty average and mediocre gala round in my opinion. What did you guys think of the performances?

Naushad - 7.5: It was good, and he was more lively and getting the audience involved as usual, but besides that I personally don't think he was deserving of performer of the week.

Shivam - 8.5: Pretty good performance, have never been a huge fan of his to begin with but had a pretty decent performance this week. Nice job on his part.

Bhoomi - 5.0: The singing was unbearable to listen to. The initial 7 seconds of her singing made my face cringe and my ears hurt.

Sreeram - 7.5: Pretty mediocre performance. Has had much better performances but I felt he was way overpraised by the judges for his lackluster performance this week. However, he did redeem himself by singing Hema Malini's request exceptionally well.

Rakesh - 8.0: Sang fairly well, he's been surprisingly consistent almost every week. Part of its due to his intelligent song choices that suit his voice well.

Tia - 5.5: Last week was her only good performance throughout the whole competition. Besides that I have nothing really to say about her, cause regardless of how she sings she'll still be in competition for a couple weeks.

Swaroop - 8.5: After a couple of so-so performances, thought he finally got back into his usual groove. His initial start to the song was mind-blowing. After Shashi left, Swaroop is probably one of the only reasons I still tune into the show. If he leaves I'd probably stop watching.

Today's epi was ok coz of the song choices. I can think of soooooo many better songs for the contestants than the dumb producers. 😕

Glad Salim told Tia what he EXACTLY felt about her performance. Anu Malik seems like he was just mesmerized by her outfit and her "dream partner" clip and didn't analyze her singing at all. Dude is a joke on the show.

I would love to see Sreeram and Rakesh in Top 2 and fight it out to win the competition.

I chose Sreeram...even though Rakesh's performance had more soul in it but technically Sreeram stole the show...I am still wondering why he was not in the top 3...👎🏼

In sreeram appreciation thread i have posted a couple of days back that this gala will is boring as bollywood gala when i saw "Dilber Mere" song in the youtube. The song it self is stale and i don't why he has chosen that song or someone has rubbed it on him.

Coming to singing that song he has done 100% justice to the song, he just produced exact replica of it without adding his usual improvements.

Sreeram and Rakesh closed the deal for me today. Did not want to listen to anyone else after that. Swaroop was good, but I didn't like the song choice. It spoiled the mood Sreeram and Rakesh had created earlier!

Sreeram was the best, as usual, and Rakesh was just below that. Beautiful performances by both! The fact that Sreeram was not in the Top 3 was total BS. If they did not want to give Rakesh and Sreeram a bike, they should have given it to Swaroop. Giving it to Naushad was pathetic! His performance was mediocre to say the least.
