Note: This is the Final Round. It's more heavy on posts with comments than those who just vote on the thread. Also, the Judges will comment, but won't post their ratings. They will be revealed when the Final Scores are computed.

Nice singing done by Sadhana here, though the song might not be popular. AR Rehmen though thinks that this album, Water, was his best work. I think the raga used in this song was bhatiyar. Rarely used in hindi films.

Actually this track is either a "love it" or a "hate it" kind. But don't judge the book by its cover, its a track that will take a hell lot of time to digest.

Like-for a typical listener, it just comes and goes, again just comes and goes and you don't get that what on earth (or water-pun intended!) was sung.
But, its a likable track nonetheless.
Again, it took time for me to recognize sadhnaji in this. Not the usual voice that we are accustomed to, but aain, a "different incarnation".

Its not a sad track per se, but a slow and an extremely tough one at that and add A.R. rehman the maestro, and it becomes seductive. Again, experimentation. But with mixed results. Sadhna's "new" voice isn't exactly convincing at first, but after a while, gels well with the track. Her voice control and scale of singing is just brutally awesome given the range and tempo set by ARR.

But the overall feel and expressions could have a shade better. For one, I cannot comment on the audio quality but the clarity of voice was not really that clear. Volume had to be increased to judge her clarity and tonal quality. But still, it does fall short given her calibre of singing.

Second, the music. Yes, as some of you have mentioned out that ARR recognizes the composition of water as his best, but he has done many, much better compositions as compared to this. No matter how good or tough the raag it was based on, but for we typical people, it becomes just plain boring after listening to it once, twice or at the most thrice. But, no, don't count as forgettable. Some tone variation and a hint of change in tempo could have yielded dramaticallly better results.

But despite these flaws, you got to give it to sadhna's sargams. A bloody bold attempt and wow, what a voice she has produced. She takes a daring approach from start to finish and throughout the track you are surprised by singing and her immense talent that has been utilisd by ARR. Feel is another high plus point of her singing in this track. To get a feel of this, it makes sense to get a better quality audio version than the one posted here. it works wonders. Full of emotions. Mind you, this track can either be slow or even sad or even tragic or even..not really sure but irrespective of the genre, sadhnaji has justified it fully single handidly on her feel plus quality of voice.

I voted it an 8.5, but deserves a 9. yet will keep it to 8.5 based on aforementioned drawbacks.
And yes, alkaji's track was much much better in overall perspective.

8.5/10.

I wish chupke se was for the audio round I would have definitely rated it better, Naina neer is though not her best still its good singing, but as this is final i feel it lags behind if we compare it to alkajis tum mile & shreyas barso re. For me to give a good score the most important & first thing is that I should enjoy listening to the song & connect with the voice then I look at the difficulty part of the intense stuffs.
Please donot consider me rude but i ll have to rate it a 7, thats what my ears say.

Haven't heard of this song before.

Subtle, slow singing as required by the song. The song grows on you after 2 - 3 listening. It has apt expressions. Her voice quality is so beautifully utilized here, she takes immediate control of every move of the song. High notes, low notes - handled well and are soulful. The best thing is the delicacy of the voice, which goes smoothly. Lovely performance.

This is my first time hearing this song. A very interesting track to hear indeed.

Wow I thought the beginning was brilliant. So many variations in such one line of the song. Not to mention it was beautifully sung by Sadhna ji. A very soothing song to listen to!

Her expressions were maintained really well for the most part of the song. She didn't let them drop once.

The song is def not as easy as it sounds. It requires a lot of concentration to sing it off well, which she def had in her voice. It def showed that she worked hard for this song. The song has a lot of variations to it and in order for them to be pulled off well, you need a lot of dedication and commitment to the song requirements. She had those qualities in her which is what made it sound very strong!

Some segments in this song were very difficult to sing, but Sadhna ji maintained her voice throw throughout the entire song. Even her higher pitches were quite strong overall. A very strong song selection! The competition will be a tough one indeed!

Haven't heard this before... Sadhnaji has done full justice with her deep voice ...the sargams are very good and the expressions and feel can be felt all the more as the background music is very subtle...its a 9 from me!
