Regarding the ep.-end ad. (Friday, 2nd July 2010), DV's conduct in it reminded of Pratham Mittal in "Kutumb".
When Pratham was framed for another relationship, he relied on his beloved wife Gauri believing in his love and the extent he had changed for the good for her sake. But the more he endured her taunts and slurs, the more she took his endurance for granted and took advantage, enforcing upon him decisions she would not have dared to even try otherwise.
But the last straw for him was when she set him away from her. He changed back to his 'bad boy' persona, slighted Gauri who had gotten used to brushing him off while he would run around after her, and exposed the other woman's lies.
And when Gauri then apologized for misunderstanding him but pointed out that it was his chequered past at fault as it that had caused her to hold him guilty, he strongly refuted that. It had only been by becoming, to an extent, the way he had been that he had proven himself not guilty. He blamed himself only for having changed himself for her good opinion, and while still loving her dearly, had no intention of changing to suit her idea of how her husband should be.
Is DV planning a similar strategy with Amoli the Witless Wonder? Brainless soapbox orator that she is, having to see and not hear her should be no hardship for us. Just so long as we get to see and hear lots and lots of DV.
Anyway, we've seen during his 'Ranvir' time that when DV slights Amoli and disses her looks et al, she becomes more inclined to treat him with respect.
And could they please stop having proactive religious verses playing in the background every time the heroine is being decisive? It's appropriate when a character is being just and right, but not when a character is rendering brainless judgment decisively. Amoli should never be given the authority to judge a market dispute, let alone whether people are lying through their teeth to her. Having those verses provide the background to her in her 'decisive' form is outrageous in the extent to which she is undeserving of it.
