Dharmendra portrayed the role of the father to Agastya Nanda's lead character in Ikkis, rendering it an especially meaningful project for his family. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were present at the screening and displayed visible emotion throughout the evening. Salman Khan, who shared a close relationship with Dharmendra, also attended and was observed struggling to contain his tears upon seeing the late actor's poster at the event.

About Ikkis

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a compelling war drama inspired by the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film depicts the courage and sacrifice of the young army officer, who gave his life at 21 during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Salman Khan had previously expressed his sorrow over the loss of Dharmendra while hosting Bigg Boss Season 19. Without mentioning his name, the actor stated that "this week the industry faced a huge loss."

Sharing his emotions further, Salman added, "I wish I were not hosting Bigg Boss this week, but at the end, life goes on."

Following Dharmendra's passing on November 24 at the age of 89, Salman Khan was among the first Bollywood figures to attend the funeral and later participated in the prayer meet organized by the Deol family on November 27.
