The beauty of sad songs lies in the fact that they convey a lot of feelings and singing with these feelings is what makes listening them an immense pleasure. It also presents a kind of challenge to singers, as you have to maintain consistency while expressing feelings and at the same time having a good all round control over your melody and scale of singing.
Sometimes, the lyrics themselves gel so well with the tunes that it makes for an eternal track. And when you have a modern legend like kavitaji, its just an icing on the cake.
This track is one of kavitaji's best in my books, like a "my kind" of a clean, sweet, simple and melodious singing with good lyrics and great music by jatin lalit. Khamoshi-the musical flopped, but its music still surprisingly has a good number of listeners. Simply due to its quality.
And this track reeks of quality. Absolutely melodious singing with tremendous voice variation and most important-clarity of voice at the lowest of volume which doesn't go haywire anywhere.
Some high points-the background music-the violin is just amazingly played. The silence in between verses just lets you go deep into those feelings and associate it with the situation which can almost be streamlined with our real lives.
And than the modulation-kavitaji's USP. Its bloody good. And at the same time, the quality and clarity remains consistent in her all important voice. Comes for her heart. Perfect, just perfect.
Now her notes. Low-high-higher-low-lower-highest-again low, again like a mini roller coaster ride, personifies perfection. Not only it represents a challenge, but also makes for a good singing experience and which in turn makes for a good listening experience. Kavitaji hits a new high of her career in this.
Sweet as a honey voice gets into new level of perfection because at the same time it has to be clear to the ears. And the way her wordings sound you to your ears, brutally crystal clear-it gets another set of brownie points.
The track may be easy when listening to it for the first time or "just" listening to it. if you really want to experience this wonderful composition, sink deep into it while listening and at the same time appreciating kavitaji's finest efforts into making this track an all round outstanding one to listen.
Its again, almost close to perfection. The rounds get closer to finish, so 9 for me is the new benchmark score.
9/10.👏
