Hi friends,
This guy Rakesh fron Agra has been very consistent and sings with perfection. Rakesh ke sur pakke hai and he tend to hold his notes from beginning to the end. He has all the qualities to become a play back singer. Today his singing brought tears in my eyes, he has got such a wounderful voice like a fresh water stream.
Ashaji was so impressed with his singing that she had to say that she felt as patele se duble se Rafi sahib is standing in front of me on the stage and singing this song. To be very honest with you folks, its really quite an achievement for Rakesh to get such excellent compliments from Ashaji. She further added that all these singers are very talented and ready for play back.
Quite frankly speaking, I can only see three singers who can become and deserve to win II5 competition:
Sreeram, Rakesh and Shivam.
Sreeram also gave wounderful perforamnce and so did Shivam but Rakesh was at his best.
guys we can never underestimate miss Bhoomi, pata nahi kab patlee gali se nikal kar Indian Idol ban jaye, who knows.
The above three singers are kind of Eak se Bedkar eak and its anybodys game, can't really predict the winner at this point in time. Best of luck all three.

Agree with you, the best performance last night was that of Rakesh, as you said he has been quite consistent so far and it would not be good to loose him, the song selection was awesome and he lived up to it
ashaji's comments for him were remarkable, rakesh being compared to Mohd Rafi saheb is a big achievement in itself
for me Top 4 wud be: Sreeram, Shashi, Rakesh & Bhoomi
However Sreeram's chances of winning are more bright

I liked Rakesh from the very beginning when he rendered Rafi's songs effortlessly. The best thing abt him is the emotional quality of his voice which brings forth the feeling of each song. Ladka bilkul dil se gaata hai! 👏 👏

Rakesh has truly turned out to be the dark horse this season! Although I would easily pick Sreeram as the Idol at this point, I think that if there is someone Sreeram needs to watch out for its Rakesh.

Although I do have very, very soft corners for Shivam and Shashi, I think that they are yet to achieve their 'wow' status. Both have improving graphs, but I think they are still falling short of a singer like Sreeram. And trust me, I say that with a stone on my heart. I had numerous expectations from Shashi this season!

Either way, mujhe mera top 4 mil gaya hai - Sreeram, Shashi, Shivam, and Rakesh. In the finale, I will be happy if I get to see Sreeram + whichever of the remaining three contestants proves himself the most.

After the atrocious last season, this season is like a breath of fresh air! :-)

Kya baat hain Jaspal paaji. I am so glad that atleast there is someone who thought about Rakesh.
No disrespect to Sreeram fans...even I am one of them but I would have also given the bike to Rakesh yesterday. Lot is being talked about how Sreeram opened up yesterday but Rakesh did not had that type of song. Despite that the emotions he generated through his singing were really heart touching.
Both the songs are from same movie but Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera is bit more popular than Tumne Mujhe Dekha. That might just be another reason why most of the people are saying Sreeram was the best.

To be even compared with Rafi Saab is a big big compliment.

Watch this video from 2:08 and probably then we might understand what Asha ji meant yesterday when she said aapko jab main gaata dekh rahi thi, jiss tarah has ke, jiss feeling se gaa rahe the, mujhe Rafi Saab dikh rahe the. 😊

I remember when Indian Idol started, there was a thread about 'Who do you think is the dark horse?' and I put down Rakesh because although he doesn't have the extensive classical training that Sreeram, Shivam and Shashi have, he has the qualities required for playback: good throw, nice voice quality, good expressions.

What impressed me most about him was that he improved with every performance. And now he has reached a level where Ashaji is showering him with such amazing compliments. God bless and good luck Rakesh!

I just wish Shashi also bucks up and focuses more - it's time he put his years of riyaaz into use and start giving mindblowing performances like he did in the beginning. Remember his 'Tu Bole Main Bolun' - let's have that Shashi back!!
