Armaan unplugged
As an ardent fan of Dill Mill Gayye, you can't think beyond Armaan and Riddhima. In his comeback avatar Dr. Armaan is seen tutoring and training Dr.Siddhant to win Riddhima's heart. A lovelorn Armaan is trying hard to unite Riddhima and Siddhant. He has sacrificed his love for the happiness of his loved one, a sacrifice that cannot be surpassed.

As our heart goes out to Armaan, the fans of Riddhima-Armaan secretly wish for this on-screen jodi to get back together on the show.
Karan Singh talks about his journey on the show, his fans and the new jodi of Riddhima and Siddhant on the show. And this is just PART 1 of what's on offer for Armaan fans!
Your come-back on the show has elated your fans. How does it feel and how has the response been so far?
It feels great as this is a show which has always been close to my heart and feels awesome to be back. My fans have supported me throughout - right from the beginning of the show to the time I wasn't a part of it. I know they are elated to have me back on the show as I keep getting their messages and e-mails where in they say that they are very happy with my come-back, which is an amazing feeling.
What took you so long to come back? Why would you quit an extremely popular show like DMG?
It's not about me as a comeback or exit depends on the demand of the story. Everything takes a certain amount of time. The show had to build up the characters of other actors. It took this much time for my character to be called back so that all the new characters are established by then. Leaving the show wasn't solely my decision. It was an amicable decision between the production house and me. Everybody needs sometime off in life. I have been working for three years at a stretch – DMG, ZND and Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. My break happened to be a little longer.
Are you following Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus?
I have not been following the show but get all the updates from my close friend Sanjeeda Sheikh.
Did you miss the fun, action and drama on the sets, while you were away? What did you miss the most about the show?
Yes, it was a mixed feeling. I was happy to have peace around me but I also missed the fun and action on the show. We had so much fun shooting for the show. All the stupid things, craziness and pranks we used to do. I miss all the actors from my time like Muskaan, Panket Thakkar and Mayank Anand. We were like a family as we had worked with each other for so long.
Dr. Riddhima has a new man in her life in Dr. Siddhant. What is in store for Armaan?
Sadness for now and I think this is a bad timing for Armaan's comeback. But I don't think Armaan will ever grow out of love for Riddhima. Let's see what the future holds for Armaan.
What can be expected from Armaan and the show in the nearing future? The show has a lot of happy song and dance – are you enjoying that?
Armaan is quite sad as he has to sacrifice his love. But shooting wise it's a lot of fun and we get along very well. We have a blast everytime we are shooting.
There have been many replacements for the character of Riddhima, from Shilpa Anand, Sukriti Khandpal and currently Jennifer Winget? Who according to you has been the best and why? With whom have you had the most fun while shooting?
That's very mean of you. I know Jennifer since my Kasauti Zindagi Kay days and we have been friends for the past six years. Shilpa again is a friend. We always have fun and I think let's leave it for the fans to decide who they like the best.
New shows have been pouring in but nothing could affect the popularity of DMG? What do you think has worked in favour of the show?
Extremely faithful audience is the reason behind the success of the show. When we started, we connected with a lot of young people who grew with us, which spelled success for us. When I was young, I was an ardent fan of Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and grew up watching their movies and am still their fan. When you have a youth based show, catch the audience young and connect with them; I think you will always have a faithful audience.
Yours is one of the most loved on-screen couples of the television. What do you think is the reason behind this ever-growing popularity?
Like I said the reason behind this is faithful audience. We touched a lot of hearts as Armaan and Riddhima. I will always be thankful to our fans for showering us with so much love and blessings.
Viewers are now demanding to bring back Shilpa Anand. And she is said to be back.
Life is very unpredictable and anything can happen.
Your on screen persona – Armaan, is going through an ocean of emotions – eager to see Riddhima happy, joy of bringing two people together, sad that you have to help your ex girl friend (who Armaan still likes), help Riddhima settle down in her married life… How do you play out so many emotions?
It's very inhuman actually. Anybody in this frame of mind in real life wouldn't be able to survive the trauma of losing your love. Everyday is a test for me while I do my scenes. Like the loyal audiences, I am also hooked on to the show as I am playing the character. For Armaan who has been in love with Riddhima forever now, I personally don't understand the reason why he wants to unite Riddhima and Siddhant. It's the highest level of sacrifice I have ever seen or heard of. Being in this profession, we get to do a lot many things and play lot many characters which we might not be able to do in real lives.
Are you at peace now in your personal life?
Yes, I am.
