Very nice topic Malli...

I started watching JJKN verrrrrrrry late...As a matter of fact my first episode was when Jassi was doing the modeling for Purab and that bratty model was being all bratty...Anywhoss the main thing that attracted me on kept watching the show was the fact that it was such a sweet love story...Beforehand I heard alot about the show and was very curious about it...So I started watching those old epis and read those beautiful updates and just loved the unique storyline of it...Also it gets me real irritating seeing those annoying female characters on tv where they cannot do anything in life without a male😡...And JJKN is the opposite...It shows real strong woman in business, ruling the business world and me being a business student just love this concept👏

Apurva...I wasn't really a big fan of in the begining...AAMOF...I hated him in all his movies...but then I saw all those drunk sexy drunk going crazy over Jassi drunk Armaan episodes and the rest is an open book😳😳

Mona too I didn't like in the beginning much but then I started watching her acting...I always thought that a good actor is the one who can cry in an emotional scene and can make you cry along with and she managed to do just that in many many episodes

Now I don't like the storyline much...but I still watch it for my favorite trio...No one-liner of anykind anywhere about them would ever make me wanna love them anyless...To me my trio Jaissa Koi Nahin😃

Yes I guess I am the last one replying to this post. I was in Mumbai at that time. I was shocked on seeing the promos. One thing that took me by surprise was the fact that the whole serial was so different from the RHONA DHONA saas bahu. The office situation comedy , the gang, pari, nandu , Raj were the reason why it clicked.
I wasn't impressed by Armaan initally. Jassi seemed to be more interesting once you got used to her great looks 😉 . And then seeing Armaan falling in love with Jassi was the icing on the cake. I enjoyed each episode without any distraction. Those days were simply amazing hilarous. I loved seeing my Mumbai too. I used to identify with that BEST bus etc.
August 5th I say was a big disappointment. Luckily I was in Mumbai at my mom's for a vacation. So it was quite okay . Back in US I just couldn't make myself watch A getting married to Mallika and stopped watching. Read all these great updates. My darling hubby was a little confused 😉 why I gave up JJKN for 2 mths.
Then once again started watching after A reached Nainital.
I was never into Starplus as in those days we didnt get STARPLUS in USA. I had all the time in the world to devote to JJKN. No tension of studies or working. My daughter used to be in bed by that time. Husband would be in the gym.
I loved JJKN because of the comedy and then the romance between A and J.

Apurva and Mona rock. I wish them the very best in their lives. And lots of luck.

Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin....👏 👏

Hmmm... where should I start!! OK... when they started advertising for JJKN I had read that it is based on "Yo soy betty la fea"....I started reading the original summaries on the net and loved the story very much... I was able to relate to all of the characters in the show as I knew what the story was about...

The Walia, the suri's, the gang, mallika, Aryan, Raj, Nandu, Maddy, Pari, Jassi and ofcourse Armaan... I simply loved the way the casting was done... JJKN rocked those days... How can forget the Raj-Jassi-Armaan scenes and the drag queen episodes of 2003, the diwali of 2003 and I knew eventually Armaan was going to fall for Jassi...

Everything was going well and then Jassi ran to Alibaug and the introduction of you-know-who...( I am not sure whether it has some connection wit Tarun K becoming the SONY executive and if it is, its a scary coincidence as the original cast is returning after he is leaving SONY ) I was not mad at Purab's first entry but later when came back again with his bratty bro Rohan I was majorly pissed off..

The original cast was sidelined and we had to watch episodes of driving miss Jassi, the pathetic titanic remake, paratha eating nonsense at the Walia house... By then all the JJKN lovers were also getting tired as the story was going nowhere... ARmaan's character was butchered and was made evil in contrast with this white character...

But I was sure that when Jassi agreed to marry Purab she never loved him... We had always seen Jassi dreaming about Armaan all the time.... Then they showed the night when Jassi say " Saari duniya dekhti raahi aur aap Armaan Sir se pyaar karte rahe"...and i knew this engagement was not going to happen... After the dumping act I was so happy to see Armaan changing... And thinking of Jassi as a woman for the first time...

According to me Sept 2003 to April 2004 and Nov 2004 to Mar 2005 was the golden era of JJKN... Armaan Suri and Jassi at their best... The entire JJKN unit rocked after Nov 2004... The epsiodes of jealousy and Armaan falling hard for Jassi were the best... 2005 was the year of Armaan... Armaan lovers grew and became active everywhere... I c ould see Armaan fans popping every single day...

After the makeover the story went haywire... the Jessica bedi case and all was just ridiculous... I loved Armaan pinning for Jassi and their romance shown after that... then came the Aug 5th killer twist.. I couldnt forgive the makers that they showed Armaan marrying Mallika and sleeping with her...

The actors were doing a terrific job but I couldnt take it anymore... I cried for two whole weeks and became a laughing stock of my family...most of us stopped watching after that... it took two months for me to recover cause I always believed that this was Armaan Jassi story and Jassi alone cant handle this show... (proof the Nainital track bombed as there were so many alien characters in it, I was unable to relate to anyone and was still angry at makers)...

I started watching again when Armaan went to meet Jassi in Naintial I was skeptical as Rekha Modi has started writing for JJKN... She is from pukka K-etka factory ... I was sure we are going to see more Ekta crap in JJKN.....

Apurva's interview on Craze Fm helped me a lot to deal with the pain...Only he had the guts to answer the angry fans after Aug 5th wedding fiasco...T and D were mia for a while and Tarun had given idiotic explanations and calling Armaan not worthy of Jassi made me even more mad.... I had wasted two precious years on this show dammit and then it struck me that these money hungry people only care for their precious TRPs and nothing more. Thanks to Mr.Tarun Katiyal JJKN was ruined beyond repair...and now I really dont care about the story anymore...

Initially JJKN was not just a show for me but had become an obsession at one point... now I am out of the addiction but still watching it ONLY for ARMAAN and Armaan jassi chemistry...

Compared to other shows JJKN is still better and hope they dont anything ridiculous or ektaish in the upcoming episodes like killing the baby...

Finally I cant thank JJKN enough, as I made so many friends on the net...Without JJKN I wouldnt have met you guys for sure..

Love,

Jyoti

Lolz!-im laughing as we all share really similar views!-nice topic!!..

..hmmmm wella few years back my family and I are were into total English dramas and movies-we didnt even think to subscribe to the asian channels-however as most ppl in my house are cricket fanatics-my dad finally took the plunge and got cable-we had a satellite dish b4 with only western channels but this time we got all 300+ channels-one day as i was bored stiff i flicked thru the channels and happened to come across star..curiosity got the better of me and having heard of ksbkbt so much i decided to watch..well that was it i was hooked..lolz thinking back on it i laugh..slowly and reluctantly at first my whole family got hooked to star to..

..one day as i was on study leave preparing for my exams i decided to check sony out..and lo behold i came across JJKN-the first episode i watched was the one straight after armaans engagement with mallika..like everyone else i was really taken aback by this strange looking girl who filled my telly screen..my mum was in fits of laughter and we also thought that this girl was a man..monas acting just blew me away and i was just too taken in by the onscreen brilliance of mona and gaurav-yes i initially watched only for these two..armaan made me laugh too and his portrayal of the annoying boss was ok but not one that i rated highly..

..then came the introduction of purab mehra..well..i have to admit i liked his character..he seemed to be the true life partner for jassi as he appreciated the real beauty that lied within her and also was the first person that hadnt insulted her looks and was prepared to stand up for her..my belief in purab grew as armaans character took an annoying darker shade..at this point i wanted to knw more and so got on the net and came across IF..i learnt about BLF this way and my whole thinking of the armaan-jassi jodi changed-TnD finally showed some better sides to dimples character and i became a fan!..

..at this point purabs constant interference and almost controlling behaviour started to irritate me!..like everyone else when the jealousy track started i was just blown away!!..

..then disaster time!..aug the 5th..having watched with hand on my heart..i logged into IF as per usual..but this time not as a silent spectator!..i met some really sweet ppl..

and the rest as they say is history!!..😃

Wow, some topic!

I might never had got hooked onto JJKN had i not recently shifted into a hostel. I was not much into serials then, i only watched Astitva. But the girls in my hostel mostly watched the Kekta shows. Since there was only one TV set, this put me off and i only went into the common room when there was a good movie on. That's why i completely missed all the pre-release publicity of JJKN.

Then one evening after dinner i just happened to peek into the CR (common room) and saw that the movie Ishq-Vishq was on. I like that film, so i decided to sit down. Turned out it was the first episode of JJKN the others were watching, and had just put the movie between breaks.

I saw that scene where Armaan proposes to Mallika. My first impression was that the serial had a very different "look"--very corporate, upmarket, unlike the gaudy sets of Kekta soaps. It reminded me of the serial "Swabhimaan" that i was hooked to some years ago. Armaan Suri reminded me of Rishabh Malhotra. But honeslty, my first reaction on seeing Apu was "Another loser from films comes running to TV!"
I didn't like Rakshanda then. But i liked Puru, Ila and the GM gang at sight.

At this point i turned to the girl sitting next to me and asked her the name of the serial. When she told me, i was like--"What kind of CORNY name is that?!"
When i saw jassi i got a shock. Since i had no idea what the show was about, i thought she was a comic character whom the serial was making fun of. I thought the joke was in very poor taste. So i really didn't like JJKN at first.

Little did i know i would be obssessed with it in just a few weeks!

I watched it sporadically whenever i ventured into the CR, and when i realised the theme of the show, i started liking it. But i was not hooked till Jassi started to fall in love woth Armaan. I liked Armaan by then, but thought him manipulative. I and my fellow addicts agreed that Raj was cooler than Armman.
I never thought about Mona then. for me she was just Jassi.

I had an idea about the phenomenal response to the show even when i didn't watch it regularly. In my hostel, watching JJKN was the high point of the day. JJKn was a daily topic of discussion. The Cr would be packed from 9:30 to 10 pm.

Once Purab made his entry, i beacme his ardent fan. i honestly wanted to strangle Armaan when he created a rift between Purab and Jassi. But in the episodes leading up to Purab's ditching Jassi, isuddenly started likinh hima lot and when P actually left, i by that time didn't even care that much.
From that time onwards, it was jandA all the way for me. And it is JandA that keeps me hooked to this day. 😳

I saw some of BLF with my spanish friends even though did not understand much just read the sub-title. It seemed steamy hot, and when I saw the pre-views of JJKN I knew I had to watch it
