Just for info Aradhana was not a 70s film, it is 60s released in year 1969. BTW it not 70s but 50s and 60s which is called the golden year of Hindi Film Music because the best of Naushad, Madan Mohan, SD, SJ and Salil Chaudhury happened during that era. Also Rajesh Khanna was the first genuine Super Star of the industry and that was because of his huge female fan following. He was much more famose than what SRK is today, actually he was of the same type as SRK as they both are style based actors, so no need to be apologetic about that.

Comming back to topic, I would love hear some retro music from these contestants.

How do you think these singers would fare in retro songs/music? Also how would people fare in a Ghazal round? My bet would be on Rakesh and Sree Ram on those in girls maybe Manisha or Arpita.

Ghazal round will be interesting esepcially for Naushad and Swarooop

Well if songs have to be from Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor movies my choices for the top 11 are :

Naushad: Saawariya ( it will be out of his comfort zone, the songs requires more feel and romantic touch than classical prowess and I want to see him try it)

Shivam : Tera hone laga hoon ( Lets see if this versatile lad can give this song a whole new twist)

Manisha : Tu muskura - Yuvraaj ( She has a good voice, but I want to see her attempt this kind of song and mould her expressions)

Tia : Khwaab dekhe - race

Shashi : Chalu main tere peeche peeche ( want to see him attempt a romantic song)

Sreeram : Iktara ( I haven't heard him sing semi-classical)

Swaroop : teri yaad - Namastee London ( something different for him)

Bhoomi : Teri odh - singh is King

Yashraj : aaj kal zindagi ( Wake up Sid)

Rakesh : sajde mein yun jhukta hoon

Arpita : bheegi si bhaagi si ( out of her comfort zone - softa nd melodious song from Rajneeti)
