B-town babes without make-up!

The jhumkhas and kanganas, the kaajal and paayal and stuff like that, gives an identity to our quintessential Bollywood 'heroine'. But once in a while there comes a movie which is sans masti-masala and where our B-town babes are expected to go nude.. erm… we mean without make-up.

With Raajneeti and Raavan releasing soon which will see Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai in de-glam avatars, we take a look at other movies where our actresses' 'natural' beauty will be highlighted.

Priyanka Chopra in Saat Khoon Maaf

Priyanka will sport a total de-glamourised look in Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf. The spunky actress' role is based on Ruskin Bond's book Susanna's Seven Husbands, which tells a story about a femme fatale who bumps off her seven spouses.

She had sported a similar look in Kaminey for which she even got critical acclaim

Bipasha Basu in Lamhaa

Rahul Dholakia's hard-hitting political thriller Lamhaa which highlights the problem of Kashmiri militancy will see our curvaceous actress not only without make-up but also in a Burqua!

The movie may be about bringing peace in the valley but how Bipasha's fans will make peace without her curves that we'll come to know only after the release.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Raavan

It's not her first de-glam look and we're sure it won't be the last. Ash, who's known to get into the skin of the character have completely dressed down in movies like Provoked, Chokker Bali, Raincoat and Mistress of Spices. The problem is none of those movies, where she sported a de-glam look, were a hit. But then again they didn't have her dearest hubby starring with her, so Raavan just might change that trend.

Katrina Kaif in Raajneeti

It will be the first time we'll see Bollywood's Barbie-doll shed make-up for a movie. Katrina's portrayal in Prakash Jha's political drama Raajneeti is inspired by Sonia Gandhi's looks. By the look of the trailer, the resemblance is impeccable but will she be able to pull-off an equally power-punch performance? We'll see…

Preity Zinta in Heaven On Earth

The original 'bubbly' actress of Bollywood had a simple and austere look in Deepa Mehta's Heaven On Earth which told a story about a young Indian Punjabi woman who finds herself in an abusive arranged marriage with an Indo-Canadian man.

Karisma Kapoor in Fiza

We won't like to compare the Kapoor sisters in this category. But just for her deep blue eyes which narrated a different story in itself in Khalid Mohammed's Fiza, gives her de-glam role a little more edge over Kareena's role in Refugee.
