Sudhir Mishra is ready to beg Kareena Kapoor to star in Dhruv

Farhan Akhtar and Sudhir Mishra won't make Dhruv, the new version of Devdas, without Kareena Kapoor as the contemporary Paro.

There was some thought over shifting Mishra's favourite Chitrangada into Kareena's role, but the producer-director has decided that he will not make Dhruv until Kareena agrees to do the role.

"It works only with Kareena, no one else. I'm willing to go down on my knees to get her to do the film.

But she can't say no. It's a role specially written for her," says Mishra.

Apparently Kareena has reservations about the film because it's a Farhan Akhtar production and named after his character in the film.

"We call the film Dhruv, but her character Pooja is as important," clarifies Sudhir Mishra.

"Devdas is now Dhruv and Paro is Pooja.

It's now more like Shakespeare's Hamlet than Devdas.

I can't imagine anyone but Kareena in the role."

Oh dear lord, Bebo PLEASE PLASE say yes.

What is she waiting for? Surely if she can just play a wife in srk's raone, then thsi role is no less!

Ugh what is she waiting for. I was so excited for this movie when the news first came, but she keeps doing this now.

It's amazing that Sudhir is willing to wait just for her, hope she takes it up!!

Oh how sweet of him. Why kareena why choose Ra.one instead of this. We all know you love SRk but don't ruin your chance working with the guy who gave u chemali. Come on!!

Wow I like this guy! Now that is the spirit... and then there are some directors who just care about having their movie done and are quick on replacing their original choices! Like Srk said in one of those award shows that kjo named it "my name is khan" so that if Srk is unable to do it.. then they can fit any other khan in his place.. lol... But this guy is going after the main lead he wants... which is great! Bebo should do it already.. she will be a pretty paro.

NO yaar, that wont be nice. Did you know, Agent Vinod was supposed to take off LAST year? But saif delayed the film to accomodate bebo's schedule (mainly coz seh signed RaOne). it'll be so unfair to the poor guy if she ditches AV now. He did no other film in the meantime coz of AV 😭

btw feels like kareena has been out of news for while now, this movie sounds fun but hope story is diff from devdas/dev d..otherwise too repetitive. If it's similar to hemlet then it's better
