yeah i love this season ! 😛

basant was band cos many poeple were having accidents when the string from the kite broke they would come down really fast and cut people on the neck and children would run after them and then they would have accident! 😭

I don't know much about basant so can't really comment on this but from what I read here, I have to agree that it sounds like a waste of money...

its a big thing for some ppl. but I agree with Sarah & Sabahat that it is just waste of money & ofcource so many ppl get seriously injured, paralized for life or dead during the accidents happens during this festival, like maria said with serious cuts by maanjha(string attached to kites), falling from roof tops etc.

yeah......... i have been seeing festival of BASANT from 17 years in my total life in lhr yes its true its total waste of money and many accidents may occure due to ignorance but yeah kafi logon ka pasandida festival hai even pakistan ka poor labour bhi iss ko shooq say manata hai ager tasveer kay dosri taraf dekha jaee to ager woh mazdoor saal main sirf aikm din iss festival kay zaryeah enjoy ker lay to koi haraj nahin...... 😳 yeah tehwaar to spring ki aamad and gandum ki katai per manaya jata hai mujh ko kite fighting nahin ati mager mujh ko ronaq dekhnay ka kafi maza ata hai ........jahan hum loog aam zindagi main iti fazool kharchi kertay hai wahan ager 5 Rs ki kite and 8 Rs ki "dorr" khreed lain ko kia faraq parta hai anyways main to iss basant kay mamlay main nutral hoon 😳

yeah u r rite mahsal its ok if one buys 5 rupees kite n 8 rupees manjha but thats not the case 'coz ppl actually compete on how expensive their kite n manjha r how many dishes they had in their party..girls compete on clothes...their should b moderation in everything.. waisey to basant is not a "TEHWAR" n i dont see any reason y do ppl celebrate it?? but if they do they should really think of those ppl who need that money which they r wasting on kites n strings so rather than wasting soo much money on hundreds of expensive kites n string spend half of it n the give other half to a poor.
