Ajay Devgan talks about Raajneeti
After comedy flicks like Golmaal Returns, All The Best and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Ajay Devgan is back with a political thriller, Raajneeti.
Talking about his role in the Prakash Jha directed multi-starrer, Ajay says, "I play the character of Sooraj Kumar, who is a politician. It's a wonderful and a very challenging role. I think Raajneeti is much bigger than Apaharan and Gangajal as far as the story and the cast is concerned. It will be first time that such a movie will be made. Shooting with 10,000 people everyday is not easy but he (Prakash Jha) made it happen. When he narrated the script to me, I said, 'If you've written it then it will be the best' and we started shooting."
Talking about Indian Raajneeti, the actor says, "We keep on blaming the politicians for making politics a dirty affair. But, it won't solve any purpose. If politics has become dirty, we too are responsible for it because people like us choose corrupt politicians. If we really want to change politics and give it new positive dimensions then people from the society should come forward and join politics and it should also be deemed as a profession."
Any plans of him joining politics in near the future?
"Frankly speaking, I don't know politics…so, there's no question of joining it."
