@ gina & yasri : Beautiful replies both of you !! I agree with what you have said, but you two are not understanding either me or Gunjan's POV about Samrat.
Everyone and most of all Gunjan knows about Samrat's insecurities and fears, and she even mentioned that in her letter that she understands that he is doing all this because he is afraid of loosing her. She also told him that she loves only HIM, and would always love HIM. That should have been enough for Samrat to stop and think about what Gunjan has said. But he didnt do that, inseatd he acted impulsively again. Agreed that his actions are due to the fact that he has had a very lonely childhood, but that's where the difference come between US and Gunjan, because she knows she would be hindering Samrat the most by catering to those insecurities and fears. You think she is doing enough to help get rid of his fears, but the fact is for the first time someone is doing exactly what Samrat needs, and that is to stop thinking about the cause of his problem and think about the solution to it. She knows about his demons the most but unlike US, she is not going 'awww my poor Samrat, awwww poor baby', because she knows that won't help him. What will help him is for him to realize HIS own SELF WORTH, which he has lost during his childhood when everyone left HIM. Samrat does not need to prove to Gunjan, or to Neil or to anyone in this world that he is worthy of Gunjan's or anyone's love. Samrat needs to realize his own SELF WORTH for himself, only then he will be able to see HIMSELF through Gunjan's eyes, because for Gunjan, HE IS THE BEST. It would be then he wouldn't worry about Gunjan working and not spending time with him, it would be then that he wouldnt care if 100 guys like Neil come and say that they love Gunjan and want to marry HER, because he would be confident about the fact that whatever happens, nothing could come between them, that whatever happens, Gunjan would never leave him.
Yasri, I will have to disagree with you about Sam not wanting to be anything like his dad or having any problems with work commitment. Remember the jail track ?? He was worried that his being in jail and getting a sentence would affect his career, he even said that out loud in one op the epi's, so he may not study, but thats only because his passion has always been BB, but that doesnt mean after college, he wouldnt want to have a career of his own. He wants an identity of himself as much as Gunjan, that's why he was so angry and upset when Adhiraj became the captain and Gunjan called him the team's best player, because right that that was his identity and he saw someone else taking it away from HIM. So he did, what anyone in his place would have done, he fought to get that identity back. And Gunjan helped HIM, because she knew how important that was to HIM, because even then she realized the importance of his own self worth, not for anyone, but for himself, but SHE also knows that Samrat cannot be the coolest dude of Excel or the basket ball champ all HIS life. After college, HE will have to enter practical life, whether it is to get a job, open his own business, or even manage his dad's empire, and at that time he needs to understand that things won't always go his way.
Gina, you said that even though love isnt everything, love like theirs should be held above everything !!! Agreed, but isnt that what SaJan has been doing till now and Gunjan is still doing ? Holding their love above all ? Even her own Identity ? She would have quit this movie in an minute had she known this would have helped Samrat get rid of his insecurities, but her quitting the movie would have helped him for a day, a week, maybe a month and then they would have been back again. She wants his fears and insecurities to end forever !! And there is no doubt that even now she holds their love above all, thats why despite doing this movie, she has done everything in her power to make Samrat realize that she HE would never loose her and that HE is everything to HER, because she loves only HIM !! But when she realized, her saying and trying to make him realize is not helping him at all, that's when she decided to help him by guiding him about how to go about getting rid of his insecurities, and that's why she wrote that letter.
I know all of you love Samrat very much, but you forget that no one loves Sam more then Gunjan, and she may not dealing with Sam insecurities to your liking, but that doesn't mean she is WRONG or being selfish. This movie maybe her chance to make her own identity, but her DREAM has always been a life with Samrat, because her LIFE is Samrat, but she also knows while they want to spend their lives loving each other, they would do that successfully only when they love themselves just as much.
