Note:

Though another female playback singer sang this with Kavita, and songs like this are not usually allowed, however the other playback singer has just 1 line and it's easy to differentiate between the 2. She just sings one line the whole song, and is more like a chorus/background singer to Kavita.

10/10! "My kind" of superb song once again!

Kavitaji's core strength is in superb classical renditions and this one takes it to new highs.

Simply one of Kavitaji's best performances in today's times!
Backed up by a fusion of modern classical music by the maestro A.R. Rehmaan, her voice modulation,especially that raag alaap...truly mind blowing!

Her sur, taal, laya and above all, her awesome quality of voice especially the wordings-har ik baat pe kaisi...that line she sounds truly like a pure classical voice.

Full marks to her for the perfection personified!

The second Rahman composition this round and I'm not complaining! Although I would have preferred it if the arrangements were kept more acoustic and that annoying echo/synth effect wasn't used.

Seriously, though, I have no musical knowledge nor the vocabulary to explain what is great about Kavita Krishnamurti. Honestly I can't list every technique that she did well, because I don't even know all the techniques she used!

The high notes were a bit fuzzy in a couple of the early portions, I think that was more to do with sound quality...

As Baba Bulleh Shah said, 'Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Hoon Main, Aapey Ranjha Hoey', Latadi ki aawaaz ko sun sun kar Kavita ji has herself become the Lata of our times - TEN ON TEN!

What a powerful song, and such powerful singing!

The singing is subtle and melodious. There are definite variations here, it is not an easy song to sing. Beautiful renditions done by Kavita ji. Her voice is so beautiful here. This song also tells us of the versatility of Kavita. The throw is excellent, expressions are apt. Pronunciation is clear and stress has been laid on each and every word. I was unable to find as such any fault here.
It definitely deserves an applaud 👏

This is a performance with a 'wow' factor for me. I would love to give it a 10 on 10. Wonderful singing done by Kavita ji! Keep it Up!

Right from the start, you knew this was going to be a special performance. I never heard this song before, but just 1 time listening to it, I like it. Good composition by AR Rehman.

The opening lines

tumhari adao pe main vari vari

Wonderful! Great harkats, added a little classical tone to it, and it had great feel, and she also goes higher the 2nd time.

And then she takes off, great harkats all throughout the song, she also displays a lot of singing ability. The way she controls her voice is great, and you can almost see her smiling while she is singing this.


Her post-main sequence

kabhi ek chaman tha main jisko kali thi
ke phoolon ke sejo pe hi palegi
na bechain din thein na betaab raatein
na tumse mili thi main tab hi bhali thi
badi mehangi mujhko padi tumse yaari


I think this was even better. She sings high at the beginning, and does it quite well. And then goes very low, ending in "badi mehangi mujhko padi tumse yaari", Continues her harkats, and continues to sing at a high level.


And then her ending sequence, I think this takes her over the top. Her taans are great, and she displays her very strong classical base as this song ends. Great ending 👏


Overall, this song was extremely difficult. She showed many variations, many high notes, many low notes, much expression, many harkats, classical singing, I mean just about everything. Despite all of this, perfection, I was going to give it a 9/10, because I felt her voice quality was a little down from her prime, but the strong finish just forced me to give this a

The only thing that is going to stop it from having it a very very high overall score is the audience rating, this song is not very popular.

Any sincere listener, who would listen to this track just once, would instantly go for 10, I have no doubt about it. It has so much power to it. Loved the singing here!

Common I don't think its too difficult to differentiate between two female or male singers.
