While Lost in Nightmare fails to instil the kind of dread and tension like the original Resident Evil game it can be of good value to those who want learn more about the origin story or to those who want to relive the past in full HD glory
Capcom recently released the Gold edition of Resident Evil 5 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and keeping with the tradition, it has the original game plus a bunch of additional content. While we did not get our hands on the complete pack, we did get to sample one of the bonus episodes from the pack, called Lost in Nightmare. The Gold edition contains another bonus episode called Desperate Escape, four new costumes and eight new playable characters with new weapons, as part of a revamped multiplayer mode called Mercenaries Reunion.
Extending Evil
The two additional episodes allow one to play through parts of the main storyline which were only available as cut-scenes in the original game. "Lost in Nightmare" takes the player way back to the time of the original Resident Evil, when Jill and Chris make their way into the infamous Spencer Mansion.
