hey guyz i am a big fan of DMG n I reside in Sacramento, CA. Its funny cuz, i had sum of my american freindz over at my house n here in u.s. dmg startz at a certain time n i make it a point to watch it all the time at dat time as i dont hav automatic recordin. So, i told dem dat i gotta watch dis indian show if they dont mind. well, my friendz are white american girlz so they had nuthin to do so they were interested in watchin how an indian show looks like wit me. anywayz so we started watchin it n they were amazed at lookin at karan wahi and karan singh grover. they were like wow.......u guyz hav some very damn hot indian guyzzzzzzzzzzzz. Lol. anywayz datz not the point to my post. but, so here i waz explainin 2 dem da dmg story n i was shocked at their reactionz! when i told dem da AR story, they were like "first luv, dats hard to believe n so unrealistic n armaan prolly wantz to sleep wit ridz datz y he is runnin after her n how is it luv ven they havent slept wit one another?" (i know i was like luv is NOT bout sleepin 2gether itz far more deeper!)
then ven i explained dem Siddhima track they were like "y cant riddhima jus sleep wit sid to find out if she likes him or not n wut they share n dat sidz prolly wantz to sleep wit her too?" (again, luv is extremly spiritual and understandin not lust) basically they though dat guyz sid n armaan only want 2 sleep with ridz as dats mostly wut all guyz want n look for instead of dat love nonsense. i hav to say dis is y i can never relate to my american white friendz becuz our cultural valuez r very different. i mean can u believe how ridiculous their commentz were! i mean dats jus how american culture is n how they can never digest da fact of true love as for them itz always physical meanz dat matter! their society is filled with physical intimate wayz n how many boyfriendz/girlfriendz u've had. Dis is y i am so proud of my indian culture n valuez becuz, we have respect for deeper issues like luv n the institution of marriage. imagine if dmg waz made in america........it wud be extremely disgustin n vulgar n lose its importance of luv n chastity of characterz. the purpose of my post is not so, you can compare or bash siddhima or ar. as we all kno dat both sid n ar do NOT want to sleep wit rid n luv her deeply but, just wanted to express american mentality. it waz just to inform indian ppl dat how beautiful our culture iz n we shud be proud of it as we have still instilled the conceptz of luv n marriage in a sacred sense. n how americanz view conceptz of luv n marriage in only physical sense.

Very interesting. Americans do tend to care about the physical aspect of love way more than us.
Anyone here watch American soaps? They have billion triangles and everyone sleeps with everyone. In every other episode two people are in bed and most of the time not with their current partner.
But now that I think about it maybe sleeping with one of the guys would've cleared Rid's head. Would've made it easier. I don't like the idea of sleeping outside of marriage though.😊

Ummmmm lol😆😆😆

I grew up in the US and all of my friends are white americans. i agree that the culture is different but there are lots of similarities too. they do value marriage and family and relationship. It's the hollywood and media that have over rated the physical relationship and "love" in the minds of the youth. The thing with Western culture is that is it more individualistic whereas Asian and Indian culture is more collectivist.

whatever they show in American telly and movies is certainly not reflective of the culture. Same way i feel that whatever they show in Indian telly and movies is certainly not reflective of Indian culture.
I don't live in india but i do know almost everything about indian culture and values. Judging from that, even the show of indian culture in dmg seems bizarre to me. It is showing that "love" is all that matters in the lives of people and that they forget their profession, their duties, their family and everyone because they are so deep down in to mourning their eternally unsorted personal lives!
Now that is definitely not reflective of the culture, is it?!

I don't mean to offend anyone....just posing my pov. If you feel that i offended you then I apologize.
All i want to say is that stereotyping is what the telly and movies do. the real side to a culture or society is always the real people.😃

lolz so true they practically sleep wit everyone....but i hate dat cuz, the concept of luv is snatched away n itz like actin like animalz sleepin around wit no morals.....ughhhhhh. luv is a beautiful thing n ven its shared in pure understandin and affection it is great n chasity is very important. i agree i dont like the idea of sleepin outside of marriage..........such relations in marriage r mor sacred n make it more special. nah i dont think ridz shudve sleeped with any1 cuz, it wud ruined her character n the special bond of love she sharez wit siddhant n armaan. the concept of love wud not b da same. we indian look at love as pure n divine not thru lust............as true luv waits.
