md vakil use to sing in weddings and parties but after his album release he is looking for new avenues , a tereffic and gifter classical singer.

Bela sang a song from the movie Ehsas(2001) and thats all I heave heard of her and some songs in Paheli i think.

His Sarswati Vandana is marvelous

And listen to his Ghazal 'Ab ke hum bichde to shayad kabhi khabon mein mile'

Pay attention to his comments at the begining , before he starts he says it is based on Raag 'Bhup Kali' when the Judge (could be Anil Biswas) corrects him by saying koi baat nahi woh 'Raag Bhupali' hai. To which Vakil says sir yeh Raag Bhup Kali' hai then the judge asks him about this Raga's Aaroh and Avaroh which he shows by singing.

Thank raghav ji for ripping and uploading these gems for all of us to listen to...
But being a hardcore SRGM fan, I have to admit that even though I didn't have anything to do with it, I experience "nirmal aanand" when I see people here downloading and listening to these songe...

BTW, the judge was Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasiya ji (I think)...

Raghavji, thanks for the article.

I saw the episodes of SRGM when Mohd. Vakil participated. He was very young but his singing was so matured. He was just awesome. I have listened to both of his Ghazal albums. They both are really good. If anybody is interested, here is the link to his albums:
