Being a trained dancer in this Indian form of dancing, I just wanted to say a little about Punit's performance. First of all for him to attempt a dance for the first time and that too close to the finale is a huge thing. So seriously hats off to him! 👏 The routine set by Remo sir was a good one! And Punit tried his best to do it well. But he did fall short. "Aramandi" is the main pose in this form of classical dancing. And he somehow didn't manage to get the correct position of "aramandi." That was lacking! Also in Bharatnatayam there are a million mudras. And each mudra is different from one another. In order to show them clearly your hands need to be crisp and sharp! He unfort lacked that in his mudras too! And I felt that his footwork for some steps was a bit too light. The footwork needed to be more heavier. However, his expressions were very good! I know I can't expect him to be perfect at this dance form especially because he was doing it for the first time! So still his attempt was a good one! But there were a lot of technicality mistakes in the dance! I can't really judge the other dances in this perspective because I don't know much about the other classical dance forms. My sister learned Kathak from Madhuri Dixit's sister for a while. But then they moved. So I can't really talk about Kathak much. I just wanted to discuss a bit about Bharatnatyam. I was very happy to see Punit attempt the dance form! I really get excited to see Bharatnatyam done on the stage! Hats off to Geeta Ma'am for bringing out classical dance forms this week! 👏

Bharatnatyam is a tough complicated classical dancer ever.. (acc. to me) .. Hmm
I'm again facing the problem of not being able to "like" the post.. 😕

i agree CPR...i too have learnt bharatnatyam for 1.5 years so do have some knowledge about it..
i agree with all your points...
but i still say hats off puneet for attempting it n i think he did a good job considering you cannot master such an art form in a week...even getting basic mudras and posture of squatting takes time...so its commendable...but yes because of the technical flaws compared to others, his performance was weaker...
i learnt kathak also so i can say shakti was superb!!!!!!!!!!
i dont know anything about mohini attam so cant talk abt technicalities in binny's dance but whatever i saw , i loved it
