Wonderful Antara!

Well, this is my first post about Indian Idol 2!

For purely personal reasons, I watched the programme with any seriousness only tonight (Feb 20). I confess I was completely bowled over by the simple, innocent and yet highly gifted Anatara Mitra from West Bengal. Antara sang with remarkable ease and finesse, and was absolutely outstanding in her singing as well as performance. She was like a moon among twinkling and not-so-twinkling little stars. If today's performance is any measure, Antara leaves all other contestants far behind in the race towards II 2.

(Karunya and Meenal also sang reasonably well. The rest were mediocre in various degrees.)

ANTARA DID GIVE A SUPER PERFORMANCE N HER SINGING WAS DAMN GOOD...😃

THAT'S WHT I M TRYING TO EXAPLIN IT TO SOME OF THE PPL HERE..THT REALLY LOOK FOR THE BEST TALENT...BUT I DONT SOME OF JUST DON'T GET IT...

She did brilliant job...She already a playback singer for ANU malik...

Preity also wish to sing for her in future...

That was so nice & the way audience & judges reacted by waving their hands...

Amey Karunya & Meenal did a very good job too...

I disagree with you. As far as my singing is concerned, Karunaya and Meenal were best tonite. Ofcourse Antara sang very well but can't compare with Karunaya and Meenal. They rocked today.

yah Antara was good. But u mean to say Amey was mediocre? No way. I don't agree.

Karunaya's and Meenal's songs were difficult with versatility. If u will try to sing the song Antara selected, u will see how easy it is. It just needs a good voice, u will not see any variation in notes(high pitch or low pitch). It is as simple like u r reading lyrics but ur voice needs to be really sweet for this.
I will say" Her selection of song was good according to her voice". It is my favorite song. And I have sung it.

Yes,devrat,in my view he WAS mediocre as comapred with Antara.

No...I don't agree...I understand u r a true meenal fan...but

Look at this way,

"Morni Baga Maan" was the hardest song.....Becz....IN ORDER TO SING THIS SONG...U NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE SUR NEEDS TO PUT...WHERE U HAVE TO SING DEEPLY...WHERE U HAVE TO SHOW FEELINGS OF UR VOICE N ETC.......DON'T FORGET IT SUNG BY NONE OTHER THAN "LATA JI"....SO THT IS MORE DIFFICULT......BUT ANTARA SUNG IT BEAUTIFULLY...

REALLY ANTARA'S SONG WAS HARDEST....BUT SHE SUNG IT DAMN GOOD! 👏 👏 👏
