Geetas dance in forthcoming episode

I was watching SBS today and they were showing a preview of Geeta's dance in the forthcoming episode this weekend. No offense, but I found her dance not at all of the caliber needed for a mentor of a show with as high a standard as DID. And the first word that came to my mind upon seeing her dance was 'BASIC'....the steps were simply too basic which anyone could have performed. The irony of which is Geeta had herself used this as a negative com ment on Shakti's classical number...

There has already been a topic open for this discussion. But I'll post how I feel again.


The dance was average. Knowing that Geeta Ma'am comes from a Indian classical background, I was really expecting a tremendous amount more. I only saw a few classical segments. Jiya Jale is almost the perfect song to perform classical on. I have seen many dances on this song that have really showed a lot of classical. For example:

What better example to give than this? The entire segment she did was pure classical. Again I'm saying this because Geeta Ma'am comes from a classical background so its only obvious that I expected and wanted to see more classical segments, which were missed out. I don't know. Maybe age has a factor in this or maybe its just that she has lost touch with classical dancing and focuses more on bollywood. But I think the entire song should be done in classical. Some non classical moves were good in the act but still I feel a lot more classical would have made the performance even more amazing. Geeta Ma'am is still a great dancer & choreographer. Just had to be honest!

Her costume was even worse!! She should have worn a long Kurti with those Muscle Pants, which are usually meant for men... And should have taken off that big jacket.. She looked as if she is drowned in those clothes and couldnt move freely... I liked her DID-1 finale dance better than this one... Geeta can pull off a nice Indian semi-classical dance well, but this one didnt come to that level... I love that song!

It's amazing geeta ma .... U r outstanding n the way u held itself with urs weight was outstanding n I really love u so much .....

oh they asked shakti that how is her preparation fr the carnival9finale)
she said that she has to do nothing but just 2 be relaxed and follow TLs instrustions.
he has done all the preparations already nd she said that 'i nd amar r very lucky that we r in TKT,Terence sir is very protective nd caring towarda us!! he loves all of us(eliminated 1s too) the same!!!!
we love to work under him cause though he is very particular abt technicalities but its fun working wid him!!
