it's definately not an NRI logic...lol being one myself! but ya most parents not kids would prefer to have their kids spouses from their native country...be it Pakistan or India...or other South Asian countries....
So...I guess he has an ulterior motive cus no guy who has been brought up in Canada (I am going to take my bro into consideration here cus we are Canadians)...would go back home and select a girl without really thinking about it...
