After Rahul Mahajan's shaadi to Dimpy on a reality show, Indiatimes Movies lists a set of probable candidates for the show's next season.

MS Dhoni
Indian skipper MS Dhoni has stolen many a heart. Considered to be one of the most eligible bachelors around, MS Dhoni was approached to be on 'Swayamvar'. The cricketer obviously thought that hitting the ball with the bat was far more interesting... But this would be one interesting wicket to bat on, Dhoni! And the maidens, we're sure, would be so bowled over!

Muzammil Ibrahim
He's a hot model, who has assets girls would swoon for. Handsome and down-to-Earth Muzammil has made a mark in the modeling industry as he dreams Bollywood next! Good natured, we think that this hubby-material dude will make for an interesting 'Swayamvar' candidate!

Rahul Gandhi

Politician Rahul Gandhi is another eligible bachelor on the circuit. His recent one-upmanship when he boarded a train from Dadar, Mumbai has left all of India applauding. Good looking, smart and respectable, it's high time this Gandhi tied the knot. And there would be excitement galore if he did so in a Swayamvar format on national television!

John Abraham
Ahem! Yes, yes, we know he is linked with the lovely Bipasha Basu. But if rumours are to be believed that may just not be the case anymore. Anyway, John Abraham, after having bared his butt in 'Dostana' has gained immense popularity. There are many willing to be his better half but just whom would he like to get married to? We think participation in Swayamvar would add some 'garam masala' to his otherwise cool life!

Salman Khan
Don't you think it's high time that Salman Khan got married? We do realize that the actor has always dated the most beautiful – be it Ash or then Katrina – but being human, maybe a sweet, simple girl from a non-filmy background could keep him most happy. One never knows...


KRK
Kamal Rashid Khan made his presence felt in the Bigg Boss reality show. And he has showed off so much about his wealth that girls wouldn't mind getting hooked to him! A wealthy man of age, running a business and making films, KRK conducted himself with maturity in his second innings in Bigg Boss. Also, he would provide enough and more entertainment for audiences... after all he wasn't known as the 'Drama King' for nothing!

Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar is constantly asked about his 'marriage plans'. He isn't linked with anybody, is intelligent, suave and classy... and knows Shah Rukh Khan! Now, that's draw enough, right? His mingling with his wanna be brides on a reality show would be one helluvan entertainer. Now, if only he said yes!

Yuvraj Singh
Apparently, cricketer Yuvraj Singh was already approached for the show. The cricketer turned it down. But given his Casanova ways, it would be interesting to see Yuvraj Singh on the show! The good looking, stylish sportsman has a lot that women want!

The second season of the marriage-reality show on Imagine TV ended on March 6. Cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, reportedly, had been approached for the show's next season, but neither found the idea of a 'public' wedding exciting. Now, the buzz is that Kamal Rashid Khan (of Bigg Boss 3 and Deshdrohi 'fame'), item dancer Sambhavna Seth and cricketer S Sreesanth are in next in line.

Fazila Allana of SOL, the production house that anchors the show, insists that no one even has the cricketers' numbers. "We still have to discuss our options, so I wonder how Sambhavana Seth, KRK, Sreesanth, Dhoni and Yuvraj even came into the picture. In fact, we are yet to decide whether it will require the search for a groom or a bride."

However, she admits that the possibility of approaching a dashing young cricketer is high since there are "only three religions in India — politics, Bollywood and cricket"

According to Shailaja Kejriwal of Imagine TV, the channel is still recovering from the Mahajan wedding. "Ideally, there should be a gap of six months between two seasons. But at the rate the names are being thrown up, the media will be conducting the Swayamvar within two months," she smiles.

Though she does dismiss the idea of a cricketer being approached, pointing out that they are all busy with the IPL season: "We need an entertainer on the show, but we haven't decided yet," Allana agrees: "Both Rakhi (Sawant)and Rahul (Mahajan) were colourful personalities, that's a prerequisite for such content." After two seasons, the show is expected to move out of Fatehgarh Palace in Udaipur to a new location.

You wonder if after two divorcees, we'll have a widow or widower next and Allana laughs, "We live by the policy, 'Never say never'." Several women's organisations had raised a hue and cry on the obscenity issue. Allana disagrees, "My shows are for family viewing. May be some couldn't digest the notion of multiple candidates wooing one person from the opposite sex." According to the rumours, Swayamvar Season 3 will roll in by June - July. Both Kejriwal and Allana refute that. "Pre-production takes a while, it'll take longer than that to go on air," says Allana.

Incidents on the swayamvars that raised eyebrows
Women's organisations in Delhi raised a hue and cry about the kind of obscenity anticipated on the show, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega.

Priyadarshini Singh, the most offended contestant on the show, ranted across news channels that she deserved Mahajan more than the other girls.

Nikunj Mallik admitted that Dimpy Ganguly would drink with Mahajan every evening and that's how they got close.

Mahajan went on record to say that marrying Ganguly was like winning a Bharat Ratna, to which many contestants took objection.

Ganguly, a former model and actress, might get sued for a breach of contract with a popular modelling agency.
She is known to have dated countless boys before entering the show.

Rakhi Sawant, in the first press conference held for her swayamvar, had given a clear impression that she wanted to get married on the show.
Eventually, she was engaged to Elesh Parujanwala. They broke up in a few months, on another reality show.

'My bride should be like Deepika Padukone'
Controversy king, producer-actor-director Kamal Rashid Khan doesn't mind marrying a girl who resembles his favourite actress.
Are they considering me for the next Swayamvar? I'd be really obliged if I get a chance to participate. I would be paid a few crores for doing nothing and best of all, would get to take home a bride after being wooed by so many pretty girls. It would be a real high!
I hope my bride resembles Deepika Padukone. I'm crazy about her! She's my favourite actress, it would be a pleasure to have a life partner who looks like her. What other traits am I looking for? I'll figure that out as I go along.
The reason the channel and the production house considered me at any point, is because I am more controversial than Rakhi Sawant and Rahul Mahajan put together. They hardly had any controversies on the two shows. But people will remember my swayamvar, even 10 seasons later.

I can't make a fool of myself by getting married on TV: S Sreesanth

Q:Apparently, you're a contender for Swayamvar Season 3?

What?! I'm not interested in making a fool of myself by getting married on a reality show. I don't want to become part of a circus. I'm a cricketer. I don't need to bow down to a channel for money and put my private life up for public viewing. Something as private as one's marriage shouldn't be conducted on national TV. I wouldn't mind my marriage being shown on TV. But what I do with my fianc, how I choose my bride, and what we plan to do after marriage should be a closely guarded secret. I don't want anyone, other than my partner, to know the finest details of that.

Q:Are you aware that Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were approached for the show and that they declined it?

Yes, I am aware of that. In fact we laughed over this piece of news between us. It's untrue! One has enough to do on the field. There's no time to spend time with the family, forget going on a reality show that pokes fun at the institution of marriage.

Q:So you don't like the concept of a telly swayamvar?

I think it's howlarious to have 15 individuals trying to woo one person. And then, only one gets to get married. What about the rest? For the sake of some money, they all end up looking like fools on TV. It's sick! I would never agree to such a show, even if I was sitting at home twiddling my thumbs.
