The two will pair in the Hindi remake of the cult American movie 'Brokeback Mountain' where they will play gay lovers. The Hindi remake is titled 'Gay Gay Re Saiba' and will be helmed either by Anurag Kashyap or Dibaker Banerjee. The movie will be produced by TV soap queen Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Films and is likely to go on floors on September 23rd 2010.

With the acceptance of LSD among mature audience, Balaji is now open for new path breaking ideas and they are considering 'Gay Gay Re Saiba' to be there first milestone in this journey. A source close to Balaji reveals, "Gay themes in Bollywood are taken as a filler or a joke nobody has tried to make a serious film on gay sentiments, even Karan Johar's films use gay elements for fun and nobody highlights their problems and make them the main characters". The source further adds, "Gay Gay Re Saiba will be the first on screen serious gay love story in Bollywood".

Based on the 'E. Annie Proulx' story about a forbidden and secretive relationship between two cowboys and their lives over the years, 'Brokeback Mountain' helmed by acclaimed director Ang Lee (sense and sensibility), the film got rave reviews and bagged 3 Oscars for Best direction (Ang Lee), Best original score (Gustavo Santaolalla) and Best Writing - Adapted Screenplay (Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossan) in the year 2006.
