Epi #25 Bandini's Maalik

PART 1

DM see Santu standing at the window. His guilt doest give him the courage to look at her. He feels failure to fulfill his duties and goes and sit on his side f the bed with his head down. Santu felt his presence and turns around to see her maalik sitting with his head down. She goes near him. He knew that she was standing right in front of him .He couldn't raise his gaze. She calls him, Maalik. He doesn't respond. She calls him again. Maalik, please look at me. He shakes his head and turn it towards the pillow. Santu cant see him in pain, she pleads him to look at her. DM closes his eyes. She takes his face in her hands and makes him look at her. His eyes are still closed, she says he had told her once that one has to be more strong to be the maalik and this Bandini's maalik is not that weak that he fails to look up at his own wife. She says maalik look at me, otherwise she thinks that he is still angry at her for keeping this SECRET from him. She says, "Trust me maalik, I had buried this incident inside her a long back and didn't even think of this until today Champu mentioned it and how can she tell him something that she herself doesn't remember." DM suddenly put his hands around her and buries his face against his bandini.

PART 2

Santu standing there rests her cheeks over his head and tells him not to go weak and he need to do the nyay tomorrow and a weak person cannot do the nyay and she a mother seeks nyay for the death of her baby, to the maalik of Dharampur and he is bound to give her the same. DM says how can he sit on the chair of justice when he himself couldn't protect his wife's pride or ensure the safety of his santaan. Santu says past is past and they should not waste time on it and they need to move forward. She asks him if he can consider her his pillar of strength. DM raise his head and look at her. He ask he to sit, she does. He holds her hand close to his heart and says, he don't know if he ever told her that he is so close to his heart and if he has survived all these shocks, its because of her presence and love. He know that she loves him a lot and she has told him this, but he never did.

PART 3

He continues, he thought that no one could take Subhi's place in his life and even she couldn't do it, but Santu took even a higher place than Subhi in his life. He could bear Subhi's death, but he wont be able to take even a short separation from Santu. He was waiting for her to come back from jail but when she did, his ego and the hurt husband inside him didn't let him accpet her. But now he understand whatever he suffered is nothing in front of what she went through. Santu says no maalik. He stops her and ask her to let him complete. He says he has only told her that she is close to his heart, she is his bandini etc, but now he tells her that if Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi has loved anyone the most its her, his own Bandini. Santu is crying, he holds his tears back and says she IS his strength and his reason to live and he promises her that now onwards HE is the guarantee for her protection, pride and he will make sure that she gets all the happiness that she deserves. They hug each other, and the light fades.

PART 4

Its morning and Santu praying at te tulsi plant and asks for the happiness of the family. Later all get ready to go to the village centre. DM comes out and asks his men if everything ok. They reply yes and that Kanji bhai has taken them to the center and will be waiting for you. He goes to baa and babuji and takes their blessings. He is surprised to see Hiten without the moustache and the maalik's attire. Hiten says he understands he need to learn a lot more to be called the maalik and he will never try to be one and takes DM's blessings and they hug. Sanraj gets into the car and DM prays at Khodiyar maa's well. DM looks at Santu and says he has prayed to khodiyar maa to give him strenth to announce the most important decision of his life. Santu smiles at him and holds his hand and says "You will ". They reach the village center. DM go and sits on the chair of justice.
