During the past 5 weeks or so , I have read numerous threads and comments about how Dimpy and Rahul SUIT each other cause they both have bad characters , are drug addicts , smoke , have had affairs and the list goes on...but i fail to understand why so much negativity against two people whom none of us personally know?
About Rahul: Agreed Rahul is a divorcee and still has a court case pending but does that make him a characterless or bad human being? I dont think so.The first time Rahul came into the media limelight was when he lost his father- i remember watching all the media coverage back then. You could see a confused and lost youngster in the center being asked all kind of questionswithout any consideration of his personal loss * thts what media does , doesnt it * His father's death was a big jolt for him and alongwith the media hovering over him and the pressure to step into his father's shoes - it was too much for him? It would have been for many of us. When you cant even cry cause u are SUPPOSED to be strong...its not easy for anyone. I remember watching an interview 3 days after his father's death where one of the mediapersons asked him if he will get into politics now to step into his father's shoes..and the reply was let us mourn in peace!
Within a month of his dad's death he was involved in a drug case where he lost his best friend as well. Maybe he couldnt handle the pressure, maybe the pain was too much, maybe he couldnt handle the responsibilties and the sudden limelight? Both the court case and the wedding happened months after his father's death so can we be a bit more human and give the guy a benefit of doubt?
Coming to Dimpy- Yeah she admitted to having a bf so what? How many girls today donot have a bf or have never had one ? I amazes me how the media as well as many of us have been going on and on about her character cause she had a bf! About her drinking, how many of us have seen her DRUNK? if she does drink socially or maybe a glass of wine or somthing every evening -does that make her a drug addict or alcoholic?????? Looking at how she is with her family/friends and the general way she conducts herself, i can easily say that she comes from a good family and can be a good partner. As for her drinking is concerned if her husband doesnt mind -its none of anyone else's business. I know many women here , asian and white, who love their drinks and girly nightouts but are nevertheless brilliant wives and mothers!
I am not trying to defend anyone here, cause i dont know them personally but i am actuall tired of reading all the negative comments and curses over the two. They are married now and as long as they are happy with each other or with their decision of being together, for whatever reasons, we should just let them be i think . Instead of cursing them and commenting on the short wedding life can we not just say God bless?
