It's official - KBC to be discontinued

It's official now. After weeks of ambiguity around prospects of any further airing of KBC, the channel has finally decided to call off the show.

As the world knows, Amitabh Bachchan couldn't continue to shoot any further episodes of KBC due to his ailment for last few weeks. There was hope that he may resume shooting for the game show but as per his doctors, he needs to rest for some more time before he faces the camera again.

There were also speculations that Abhishek Bachchan may be roped in to fill in his father's shoes but his hectic schedule due to his numerous assignments didn't allow this possibility to materialize into anything concrete.

Due to such unfortunate circumstances, the show has now been called off and search is on for some other software to fill up the primetime weekend.
