the minimum age is 16 not a7 for 12lth...n even if we consider 17, three years of graduation in any stream will be by the age of 20. and i never said that by 20 we can become a doctor... i myself was graduated in 20. i no that if we are career oriented, the normal age goes to 25-27 of getting married... i am a docorate and i also got married in 25 and finished my thesis after marriage...
but those who get married at the early age are all immature or a burden on their parents? the social canvas in very vast and colorful in india. think about a family where the gal herself wish to become a good homemaker( i know many gals like that) then what can parents do? n seeing the situation today where we all are leading towards nuclear families in posh cities, whats bad if one of the two wants to stay at home n take care of her hubby n raise up kids... infect its good...
n yes i no that a gal can be a mother after getting married late but then they have to plan their kid soon as per doc advice... if a miarriage is quite earlier, they can enjoy n understand very well n there is no pressure of plannin a kid...n there r ladies who become mother late ( same in my case) but the chances of cezer increase by 150%) doc believe that the best age is 23-25 for the first kid...cmon yaar lets discuss mam nikunj... les not deviate frm the main topic ha ha!
agreed we should not deviate from the main topic....but what is the heading of the topic.....it is Married so young.....and not Nikunj Madam....so when the discussion was going on amongst you people, i gave in my opinion...i dont think it should hurt anyone....
and coming to the age of passing 12th standard......well, i hope you are aware of the fact, that a child (we are in Delhi) and the same probably applies to most of the country, can seek admission in K.G. class only if he is 4+ as on 31st March of the year for the next session to begin in April to March (next year). So, he is minimum 5+ when he enters 1st class... add 12 years to that, and the child appears in his Board Exams for 12th Class at the age of 17. There should not be any confusion about it.... My daughter (march 2005 born) will go to 1st Class this year April onwards, while my friend's daughter who was born in April 2005 (unluckily for them) will go to K.G. this year. just because she was not 4 years old on 31st March, 2009, she was denied admission to K.G. standard. so automatically the age becomes at least 17 when you pass out of school....Basic graduation is for 3 years, but technical courses like MBBS and Engineering take 4 years...so i said it is 21.
as for the increased chances of caesarean in later years, my two cousins who were married off at 21 years had caesareans at 22 years of age...because of the same problem - no dilation. while I, myself at 27 had a comparatively healthier delivery even though a c.section again. and yes, the fact is that since girls are not that physically active these days, since childhood, the chances of c.sections have increased manifold..... age does matter, but not to that much extent.
as for the marriage at the age of 20, yes, they are young........but ok....if they and their parents have decided to do nothing further, then marriage at that appropriate age (as some people believe) is not that bad...but are we really that mature at that age..even i got married at 25 and when i look at my younger cousins aged around 18 to 21, i find them young, i wont say immature, but comparatively lesser mature or ill-equipped to handle physical, social, emotional and financial pressures, that a marriage brings with it......
no offence to anybody here.........but marriage is the choice of the girl/boy and the family concerned......but there is no denial of the fact that 20 is too young......
