Nominations are done by public voting...so fine, guess public didn't vote for Abhay. But what's sad is...isn't that what Critics Awards is all about? To give the award to someone who wasn't even popular enough to be nominated.

And what sucks is, both Kalki and Mahi Gill got awards, but Abhay didn't. Lame. He was more deserving than Ranbir.

Poor guy. And he's right. Family fare it is. If you're not the son or daughter of some Bollywood celeb, no one will really bother honouring you. It's all about awarding the new star kid in town.

Nominations are by public votings, yes. But not the winners. The jury selects the winners. There's a different jury for the Critics awards though.

Abhay's snub will be remembered for a long long time, and its not only filmfare but many awards did not nominate him. Maybe he will get nominated in IFA. But we all know who is gonna win best actor in IIFA. haha! Other than Abhay the awards seemed fair to me. I personally loved the award that has created controversy online "the best actor critics".. I thought it was fairly awarded coz.. critics awards are always diff from what is considered mainstream and r usually given to very underrrated performances and Biru did prove himself in different genres. Overall FF did live upto its reputation of creating shock and awe and turning everything topsy turvy. I am sure everyone will remember this year's filmfare for one reason or another. And Saifu and SRK hosting soney pe suhaga.. haha cant wait. :)

This year Shahid and Abhay were the best performances among the competitors --- it's a shame...
