Another great episode with a whole bunch of things that stood out to me. Well, here I go again... 😆
- Title song thing: Maybe it's just limited to me, but for some reason I have never seen the title song for this show. Does it have one? I wish it does, because I want to see how they'd have explained the essence of the show in less than a minute.
- I don't know if this was a conscious decision on Nakku's part, but she held that gift bag close to her heart. I found that really adorable - like she didn't want to put it down lest it disappears. And even more heartwarming was how she played with the teddy bear's "heart". I knew this teddy bear would end up being her "tanhai ka saathi"! 😍
- When Nakku decided to "try on" the dupatta in front of the mirror she had a "child-opening-present" look about her. But as soon as she saw in the mirror it was like her illusion came crashing down. It was like she realized her face was no match (according to her) for the gift Dutta Bhao had given her ' that it needed to be made "worthy" of being adorned by that gift.
- Umm, so all it takes is a cloth and a little bit of friction to get the color off? Maybe we should sell this formula to cosmetics companies - the only way our cosmetics would then come off is if we got hosed down. 🤣 Or of course if we choose to just softly rub on it that would do the trick too! 😆
- Dream thing # 1: So I could see Dutta asking Nakku if she liked the "odhni" and tell her that HE liked it when she refused. But I could absolutely not digest what he said after that. "Mere naam ki"?! Uhh ... Umm... Maybe the creatives need to be reminded this is Dutta Bhao - he doesn't do mushy melodrama. He can do "authoritative" and tell Nakku HE liked it when she lies about not liking it. But he does not do "romantic" fluff balls. Or maybe he just doesn't do that in my mind?... *sigh* I don't know, but in my mind Dutta is not the regular run-of-the-mill guy. So when he romances someone, it won't be with regular cheesy lines - or any cheesy lines for that matter. His love and his romance are going to have to be "hatke" because he's a "hatke" guy. He's going to still be Dutta Bhao when he's in love and not turn into a romantic hero. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much? I don't know. *sigh*
- Dream thing #2: Did anyone else notice how the Dutta in Nakusha's dream is always singing praises of her beauty and is absolutely smitten by how gorgeous she looks? In the first dream sequence the guy asked her where she'd hidden "this moon" i.e. her face. And in the second one he sung praises of her beauty. And now again he tells her how she's "the most beautiful girl in the world" while adoring her with his eyes the entire time. She really wants him to see how she really looks, doesn't she? Like she can't even imagine him loving her when she looks "ugly". She's really been treated so bad because of the way she looks that she cannot imagine anyone seeing past her ugly exterior and learning to love her. Aww, poor girl! This is all the more reason why I want Dutta to fall for her before her true face is revealed. So she KNOWS that this man loves her for who she is and now how she looks. Maybe then, she'll be able to imagine a Dutta in love with her no matter how she looks.
- Nakku's in such a daze while talking to Baabi - or rather while being yelled at by Baabi. It was like no matter what Baabi said, the joy of having received TWO gifts from Dutta - of having him approve of how she looked at the gift shop - was way too much to be soured by someone yelling at her. Even though after Baabi tells her to treat the "gifts" as "bakshish" she gets a little mellow, she's nowhere near getting out of that daze. What starts off as a euphoric daze turns into a painful daze (because of how Baabi brutally tries to show her the metaphoric "light") - but it's a daze nonetheless. And that's how she eventually walks out of the room. Poor girl, Dutta's already taken over her conscious mind so severely there's no going back. 😍
- Did anyone else feel that even though Baabi was "explaining" to Nakku how all the "malik log" give their servants small gifts when they get happy and that she shouldn't let this get to her head, she wasn't convinced about it being true herself? Like she wasn't sure if that was REALLY why Dutta gave Nakku the gifts - as a "bakshish". I mean later when she starts talking about the difference between "upkar" and "pyar" I could see that she believed the Patils to have done great favors upon them (as she should believe). And after that when she was trying to scare Nakku by talking about Moore and sending her on a guilt trip by explaining to her how she might ruin everything, I could see how she really believed every word that came out of her mouth (again, as she should). But right in the beginning when she was talking about the reason for Dutta giving Nakku the gifts - to me it seems as though she was trying to convince herself along with Nakku that these gifts meant nothing more.
- You know, I thought that Kaala would notice something being off when Nakku wouldn't turn to face her in the kitchen but I was pleasantly surprised to see she didn't. Usually the "bad guys" always know everything that's going on and the protagonists are the last to know and the last to win. But this time I like how Kaala wasn't automatically thinking "Hmm, something's up! I have to find out what!" and was just upset at Nakku's insubordination. She was just upset that Nakku didn't turn to her voice - Nakku's stubbornness was taken as a sign of disrespect instead of a new "mystery" that needed to be solved. Thank you creatives for letting our "evil trio" remain human!
- Uhh, so today's the engagement? I thought it was the mehendi ceremony today? 🤔 I know they had put a rush on the wedding ceremony due to the "attacks" on the family members but they could at least do two different marriage rituals on two different days. They did the mehendi in the bedroom and then got the bride dressed, changed their own clothes and came down in a formal area for the engagement?! Lol, itni bhi kya jaldi! Well at least we're glad that the engagement wasn't held in the guest room. 😆
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it usually the bride that's escorted (down the stairs) to the stage and the groom sits there waiting? Umm, maybe we need to remind the creatives that just because Dutta's the better looking one doesn't make it okay for him to be escorted down the stairs while Supriya sits on the stage waiting! 🤣
- Dutta Bhao in blue - looking regal. *sigh* 😍
- That was one LONG hug Supriya gave to her Aayi. Now I know she missed her mom, but that was just a little too long for comfort. 😆
- Did anyone else see how the body guard makes his entry like a total "mavali"! He walks in and then looks around the hall - as though he owns the place or has a divine right to act like he owns the place. He has that arrogant air about him that even our Dutta Bhao doesn't have - and he's the actual DON! 🤣 I wonder what this guy thinks he's accomplished to act so "high and mighty" to begin with.
- Does Baaji's asking the bodyguard if he was that "shareef, imaandar, wafadaar admi" as introduction supposed to mean he knows that the bodyguard is a "fishy" character? I don't know. I need to think about that one ... 🤔
- Our Dutta Bhao's such a gentleman - he waits until all the women get on stage before he climbs on. *sigh* I want a gentleman don too!! 😍
- Supriya has got to be the most uncomfortable/unhappy looking bride I have ever seen. How does NO one else see her discomfort?!Not even Kaala? Or Baaji?! Or maybe everyone else is busy checking out the new "mavali" in town! 😆
- Nakku trying to smile and look "happy" during the ceremony... Aww! 🤗
- I really don't think that Supriya's parents have any idea about their daughter's affair or at least about WHO the affair's with. Because they seem too happy and content with this marriage to want to sabotage it by bringing the bodyguard (read boyfriend) along with them to "protect" Supriya. Also they don't seem to show any signs of noticing/ignoring their daughter's uncomfortable demeanor throughout the engagement. I think this is all the new "mavali's" thinking - I don't think that even Supriya was aware that he was going to land at the Patil's house on her engagement. But that's just what I think...
Wow, these things keeps getting longer every day don't they. Sorry guys!
